BTW if you use a heat gun with the CA de-bonder it works much better. i use low temp on my heat gun. You still need to wear gloves but it won't melt your rim. The glue comes right off. Thanks for all your tips, this channel is a National Treasure when I'm stuck on a project. Also sorry about the two comments I hate editing the old one, lol.

Great info I wonder if you could use foam weather stripping like you mentioned or backer rod “tube foam for pre filling big gaps for caulking” of proper width. Then stick the self adhesive side to the tire itself. That way centrifugal force won’t spin out the foam from staying true to shape 🤷🏻♂️ stiff waiting for my bikes 🤯

If you've remove the side covers, did you notice the air intakes on both covers ? One up high that cools the drive motor, and one down low to cool the gyro housing. There is a screw that let's the vent be open. Great in smooth clean areas.
Yeah I seen that. I was gonna pull mine but haven’t had any heat issues yet so I just left them to keep the junk out lol. It’s crazy all the grass and stuff that builds up inside the thing already.
@2fmrc I'm going to take mine out, I don't have a heat problem either... but mine will never see anything but nice smooth clean tarmac. I love this thing. Thank you !
Yeah i’ve used those in crawlers before. Still actually running them on my ryft lol. A bit too soft for these when stretching the tire so tight. I bet they may work over top of the stock foam to sort of film the tire a bit more though. May have to try it.
I know those tires u put on look super cool👍is there a way to cut the foam to fit how u want it then wrap and glue it around the rim then put ur tire on and glue it? Kind of like u have to do with Tamiya foams and tires
Probably could. The main issue I had with the other foams I tried is they are just way too soft. So when you stretch the tire it fits really tight and almost compressed those foams to nothing. I think some sticky back weatherstripping would work pretty well but haven’t tried any yet.
Should be able to. I was going to do a set but all I had were some very aggressive 2.2s that I didn’t really want and an old set of rovers I wasn’t cutting lol
