I like your style. Seems like you've been progressively getting more technical but in a gentle way and I appreciate it as I've been considering some of the trucks you're wrenching on. Now let's see that doughnut machine, man! Flip one of them blocks and let 'er rip! ;-) Thanks for sharing!
Great info vid brotha! Love this thing, but picked the udr over it,but I’d like to own both, like u! Lol👍👍👊👊📹📹💪💪💪not much grease in that axle, but no sand in it like the udr had!
Oh chances are they were standard bearings I keep in stock. I stock a bunch of bearings. I think the wheel bearings were 8x16x5. If so they are one of the two brands I mentioned above.
This took some digging, they aren't available separately you have to buy the whole rear axle housing assembly, here is a link to that on ebay rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FLosi-252071-Axle-Housing-Set-Rear-Super-Baja-Rey%2F124047857556%3Fepid%3D10013939376%26hash%3Ditem1ce1d41794%3Ag%3A-pkAAOSwFmRbylda&campid=5338273090&toolid=20008
Aw.. dude com'on you gotta open the diff. Haha... Anyway i'd rather keep my 3% smaller diff that's made tough, than a larger diff that's made of zink.. haha..
Unless the shims you used between the bearing and hex have a lip on both side, you've put them backwards. That lip must face the inner bearing race. If the flat side touches the bearing you're gonna have lots of friction and heat there.
At the wheel hex there is a bit of an edge on both sides of the spacer, that spacer was in the rotor and I didn't notice it rubbing or touching anywhere except for the inner bearing race so there shouldn't be any additional heat or friction there.
Oh if it's got a lip on both sides then it's ok, it just didn't look like that in the video, at the angle we saw ! Great job on the videos by the way !! :D
Oh ok. I certainly would've while I had the chance, and besides it's a RTR, you can never be certain if the diffs are filled up, or even the shocks for that matter :)
How do you find it now? I run 50wt front and rear also and I think it's great, it's a whole different beast. I might go up to 55 or 60 in the front. I'm also using Proline 3.8" Badlands which make it much more stable. They increase the width by 30mm and it's allot harder to roll now
I like it with the thicker oil, I tried the badlands but I ended up needing them on a different truck....erevo 2.0.. so mine is back to stock tires for now.
