Bro the longer you let him follow you, the more time he will have to call in backups at specific locations. You should get away before he can call in where you're traveling. I'm sure you already know this but with cops cracking down more around the city you don't wanna take risks.

Yep, regular street patrol cops aren’t gonna chase on highways. If u don’t pull over right away, they just radio it in. Only highway patrol or undercovers or state troopers have the authority to decide to chase or not and even then a lot of times they won’t if they deem it to be too dangerous
LOL This is literally where I grew up- its on Hempstead Tpke on the border of East Meadow and Hempstead, Nassau County LI.. That Italian restaurant on the left , Borellis is my go to spot right there. In the 90s and early 2000s, I used to race up and down that road all night with my crew when I had my M3 / G35. I don’t live in NY help me understand this I don’t get it. After you ran the red and got on the highway why didn’t the cop turn his lights and sirens on and start chasing you? Why did he turn his lights on so late? In most chases I’ve seen the cop turns his lights on and starts chasing.
Cause they don't know if they got guns in the car/not really trying to find out (from the cops perspective). Obviously the dude was sketch as hell, slowing down on the turn. No plates anyways, so the cop couldn't really do much.
