Losing My Gelli Plate Virginity 🖤 Mistakes I Made 🖤 What I'll Do Different Next Time 

🤣 I'm far too messy not to cover the table cloth with something. In terms of what the gelli print offers to me it looks more like a screen print than it does when I use stencils freehand. This may be my inept stencilling skills at work but the whole thing just looks a lot cleaner. Which, of course is not a look everyone wants to embrace in their work. I'm not rushing to buy a bigger one. I'm going to exhaust the possibilities of this smaller one and then decide if I like the different effects enough to warrant buying a bigger one. It is fun though, that much I can vouch for. 😁

Hehe. Well that makes two of us Joanne. Far from a Gelli Master. But the process is enjoyable as you say and that is worth a lot to me!

The small one I got was very reasonable but I imagine the bigger ones are more of an investment. Another reason I wanted to start small. You can use styrofoam sheets for a similar surface effect with the paint. I saw that on the Book and Paper Arts channel.

Yes, that makes sense, thank you! I was using thin copier paper for my first try. I will experiment with other papers too. ❤️

I've played with mine a lot over the last week. At first I didn't know if I'd ever buy a bigger plate but now I know at some point I will ! 🙈
