The fact there’s one-hit KOs in this game make one life mode seem more frustrating than fun. Even in Steel Soul mode in Hollow Knight you only ever take one mask of damage at most in the overworld :(
I agree it can get frustrating but OHKOs aren't too bad at least because all of them are stage hazards with predictable patterns so you can learn them. Still I died many times xd
I love the ori series but the one life challenge is kinda bull since the game can be janky sometimes and there are ways to insta die EVERYWHERE, where even if you slightly mess up you pay the harsh punishment. Sometimes you can’t even stop yourself from dying
yeah the title of this video perfectly describes how i feel when playing one life mode also 2:53 lets you skip those bullshit platforming segments thank you
Just started doing 100% one life runs a week ago. This so perfectly encapsulates how it feels lol. Farthest I've even gotten was ginso > black root > light tossin tree > spooky forest > icy ruins aaaaaaaand died to fast falling ice rock ;u;
Whoever decided to add this mode to a game that's absolutely littered with instakills is evil. Also shoutout to the only achievement I *don't* have on either console version of the game. (I tried to cheese it on Switch using NSO save backups one time, but it didn't pop up; I think they caught on to me.)
Haven't tried this challenge yet. I think if I ever do, I'm gonna be a real baby and grind a ton of experience off of the early game enemies so I can upgrade my skill tree as much as possible asap, lol
@@thenerdgamer5778 I would like to but I had some copyright issues with the other levels I uploaded because of the songs, so I think it's fine if EVW uploaded them because his reactions are hilarious and he also gives credit
@@traso56 Thanks for the good luck! I already did it though a few days after I made the comment. It was quite dreadful, but I didn’t give up! Didn’t die once in Mt Horu (sheer luck…). I guess I’m apart of the 0.06% now, according to the achievement itself.
