pseudosun I completely understand how you feel about God. I’ve been in similar situations many times in my life. But does our struggles mean there’s no God? The Bible makes it clear that going through struggles is a part of the Christian journey. Job lost everything but he still held on to God. Our Lord Jesus Christ also went through a lot. I pray that you discover that faith again. I’m a Catholic too.

Jesus , will come regardless if people are walking away from him or not. What these people do not realize is that Jesus spoke about the end of times apostasy. We are seeing it now, ultimately proving what god has spoken.

I too abandoned god, but it wasn't about not believing in him, it was about my sin and loving the pleasures of this world so much more. Christianity was never about threatening people about hell, but it is rather a warning, if you continue to live a life having nothing to do with him, you also will go to a place that has nothing to do with him. People think its all about obeying or else you go to hell, but god and jesus is more than that, its a relationship with him, and he shall help you grow more as you read the bible and pray. To strip away all the worldly things. Whats happened is that the world has started forsaking god and then at that point, you don't need someone to convince you that he doesn't exist, but you lost the faith and go your own way. Living life to your way and thinking anything is good for you. But its rather a dangerous path to live, not because you think your not hurting anyone, but your choosing to live in such a sinful way without a thought that god may exist or that there is real consequences in the afterlife. Once you die and go to hell, you cant repentant, you cant ask for forgiveness, you cant have a second chance, only a few people have actually had that happen to them and came back from the dead, living a christian life and warning others of what they saw or read. People just lump all religions with eachother, and come to a conclusion that its all about laws/control and lies. But the bible is the only true religion, what other "god" or savior came down to die for their own creation? Thor? Buddha? Muhammad? None of that warns us of hell or teaches us to live a holy or righteous life, they only make us feel good and speak in vague terms of peace and oneness with the universal, or whatever new age stuff is popular at the moment. As you said, theres nothing that makes you feel that there is a god, but its the exact opposite, the world is getting more and more wicked, and God won't just stand around as he has these two thousand years, he will return and rapture the holy. But the wicked will be punished. Everyday the world is getting colder and hearts are getting colder, there is no more love for one another, only division, murder, hatred, and then they passed the gay marriage law. The law can pass any sinful bill, but they will not overrule god's law, just because a government passes such laws doesn't mean they will get away with it. I hope you don't go down this route and give your life to jesus, otherwise you too may be lost. Don't give up on him, he loves you very much. Thats why I went back to him and he forgave me, and I have true peace, no worry or anxiety, there is no such peace that other fake gods can give you. A life without jesus is hopeless, you live in vain for the things of the world, what does a man gain if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? Your soul is more precious than this entire world's wealth combined, don't let it be stolen or deceived. King soloman was the richest in the bible and wisest, thanks to god, he blessed him, but even he said that it was all in vain, a chasing after the wind.

Eddy what a beautiful testimony, I’m glad you came back to God. The world today confirms everything the Bible says & prophecy is fulfilling everyday before our eyes, ‘_and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold vs 13 but he that shall endure unto the end the same shall be saved_ Matt 24:12-13 many Christians unfortunately have lost endurance & are now giving up. Not sure which version of the Bible you read, but I know many women who have read the Bible and see it as the Word of God.

I have zero desire to go to "Heaven" - doesn't mean I'm not a decent, caring, empathetic human being. I can't imagine anything worse than finally getting to the end of my life, only to be confronted by some judgemental arsehole telling me where I get to spend my afterlife based upon his/her ideas of right or wrong, in reference to my own fucking life, the life I lived. If there is a God, he or she will be answering to *me*, not the other way round. Luckily for me, no Gods exist, so when I die, I won't have to deal with that bullshit, I'll just be gone, over, ended; and that is a good thing. It's natural, it's normal. Only intrinsically narcissistic people can't handle the thought of being completely gone from life, of becoming nothing. That's *not* natural or normal, that's just sad and quite arrogant, really.

Twistie G Sorry but what if you are wrong? It’s unfortunate you have the idea that God is judgmental, He is not. He is loving and merciful. He is a judge though, and we sure need justice. He loves you despite all your sins. You know no matter how good you tried, if you will be sincere, you are not perfect, just like all of us, for all sinned. But in Christ God is reconciling the world to himself, not counting people’s trespasses against them, I implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake God made Christ who knew no sin to be sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Don’t be angry at God, and reject His love. Only Jesus saves. Stay blessed my friend.
