One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
It’s kind of dumb. They should make each generation the same. I lost my AirPods for 3 days and I looked in the entire living room which was last seen. I used the directions but I wouldn’t usually find my AirPods there. I don’t know if I should give up or not.
Literally I'm about to cry. I had my AirPods and case with me at school. I was holding my AirPods case while my AirPods were in my ear. I take a bus/van home so I literally have no idea if my AirPods case fell out of the van when someone was coming out, or it's on the ground outside of my school. I wanna cry so bad. UPDATE: On my birthday (June 20th 2022) my father bought me the AirPods generation 3 (I had the generation 1 AirPods before). So I'm fine now lol, sorry to all the people who lost their AirPods. I really wish I can help you find them! Tips: I would recommend a lanyard or a little clip to attach to your AirPods case then you can attach it your jeans (MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS CHECK IF THE AIRPODS CHARGING CASE IS CLOSED!! I had got them for my birthday in June snd I had lost it in February. but yeah, other than that I'm good :)
No. 1st/2nd generation don’t make noise in the case or show location in the case. Basically it’s in sleep mode when in the case. It’s stupid. Mine are actually lost within the house and I swear I’ve turned the house upside down but can’t find it anywhere. I’d recommend buying an AirTag

@@elyzhasadn849 "find my" ... it's already incluided in your phone. Search it when you pull down the screen and the search bar comes up. Or go to settings and search "Find my" .... also I believe where you can mess with the settings of your airpods, it's in there .
i noticed something on my airpods 3, idk if it is normal but if i activate the find nearby it will show me the location only of the left airpod, the right airpod won’t be detected, idk if it is normal or if they are defected, hope it is not a problem
So my AirPods will never let me play the sound and I lost it in the house some where or one of my cousins stole it and I’ve been trying to connect to play sound and it never lets me
