Roelly was a BEAST for sure. I wondered what happened to him. He had trouble with conditioning but the few times he nailed it he took 1ST at least top 3 in big shows. Losing size is tough to deal with mentally. Especially when you were huge your whole life. Im currently down 48lbs of muscle due to an Opiate addiction i had for 6 years. I am clean now over a year and look forward to training again in December and getting my size back. One surgery in October and a month or so to get fully healed. I CANT WAIT ❤

I’m glad he quit competing before his injury could’ve been much worse. I’ve been a huge fan of his for years and honestly. It’s almost impossible to not like the guy. He just seems like a very down to earth and friendly person. Who also in my opinion, has had some of the best arms in bodybuilding history. Even when his conditioning was off. Which was often in my opinion. He was always a pleasure to see on stage or at events.

This reminds me of myself back in 2017. Top of my game, making gains and everything. Then I had 2 strokes at the age of 20. I lost it all and could barely do anything anymore. I couldn’t train like I wanted and I didn’t want to train because of the muscle mass I lost. Now… I take it more seriously, I train each workout as if it’s going to be my last, I try to eat healthier and always try to push pass my limits.

the most important thing is to keep training. Its not about views or fans anymore its about physical and mental health. You do what you can do with one arm or one leg and don't worry about what others think. You train for yourself. You shouldn't be in the gym carrying a tripod around and thinking about how others view you or feeling sorry for yourself if you can't be at your best. Training is a privilege that ultimately you will lose the ability to do it and at that point you will have one foot in the grave so you must do everything you can to prevent that.

I like the part when the voice over said things always change, nothing stays the same forever. Al, of our bodies will break down one day whether a bodybuilder of world class ranking or average person. Mental strength is most important because we don't have youth and beautiful physiques for more than a short period of time in our lives. Also if someone only puts emphasis on their body one day they will lose it and have nothing to fall back on especially if they consider their self worth based on how they look. I saw this because I have body dysmorphia disorder, had a great athletic body when younger, then struggled with mental issues after I got injured and could not retain the body I had. We need to have balance in life and cultivate various aspects of our selves and not just become obsessed with one area of ourselves as it will only lead to suffering.
