yeah depends on the raid, i started using sword of justice when thaemine came out because the brand skill lasts longer while pple are trying to dodge so it just gives a little more leeway for people
Why dont u replace light of judgement with holy area? I think holy area has a tripod that generates more meter than LoJ. And holy area can provide DR to the party.
Excellent question, I've tinkered with it before but I settle on light of judgment because I don't want to be stationary too long as a support. Right now I personally value mobility options and fast casting abilities. Also, I play to hit majority of counters so i like to move around more and I roam the arena so I can observe the patterns and shotcall if necessary for my party. As a support I watch out for a lot of things and for me at least it's one less thing to worry about in terms of which party member needs to holy area on them where I need to reposition to and if I'm in danger myself of getting hit. But definitely a viable alternative.
Adding to what Ton said, while Holy Area does generate more meter IN THEORY, in reality the boss moves so much you don't usually hit the boss for the entire duration and overall you will lose a lot of meter in my experience. Not to mention LoJ meter gain is instantaneous upon hit. As a pally, you already provide crazy good defense with heavenly blessings DR + godsentlaw's DR, you also have DR on blessed aura which is constantly up thanks to the big meter regen from LoJ. Having holy aura doesn't really change much for your party's gameplay if you ask me and you give up a lot of meter regen for it.
@MrWestSky I suppose it depends if it's like reclear juiced boss runs vs. Like more mobile bosses. I personally value my own survivability and trying to keep good atk buff uptime. That being said it really depends what you value more. I know some pallys really like just souping up meter generation and go all in in that
i play magick stream insteed of vital hit point, its harder to play and requires more raid knowledge but its just to good, its only 7,gems on dmg buff i have 100% uptime
I have yet to transition my support accessories over from relic to ancient. I might consider the build but honestly haven't decided what I will go. If not magick stream, what engraving would you go? I feel like drops of ether is pretty mid at this point. Only thing I have played around with is which skills to use in thaemine and I've just upgraded my bard to a max mp increase build (since thaemine g3 doesn't really need vph)
I just got into the game and I was hoping paladin would be a hybrid support/ DPS and dear god all of the builds for this magnificient looking class are boring as fuck, no wonder no one wants to play as a support. Run around, heal. apply buff and debuff and do nothing else.
Yeah very early on i had a mix of blue and yellow skills. But eventually once legion commander raids came out I had to strictly play support. I too wish there was a hybrid build and playstyle, but unfortunately it's inefficient in both damage and shields. I feel you bro
Replace Light shock with Sword of Justice. Its just so much better for branding. Also, WTF Tenacity on Wrath of God and not FAITH? HELLO? @10:08 On the contrary, use blue skills off CD to contribute to depleting the bosses main stagger bar. Of course, with raid knowledge, save 1 for known counters.
Yeah I've given it a try before, but I think with how more mobile the bosses are, using light shock, I can land branding more consistently and it's a super easy to land skill. Missing it also isn't as costly. Maybe if I change my support build I'll switch it up since I don't use conviction/judgement atm
Personally I like the quick CD and the easy cast abilities. Full swift plus using a quick recharge rune can get the CD down to 4 seconds and allows me to cycle through other skills as well as pay attention and prepare for boss patterns/counters. I'd say it's personal preference. No need to be a dick dude - there's different playstyles and what pple prioritize more@@Balyente
@@Tonn142Don't listen to others who press on the SOJ topic, I personally use light shock in all content including hell and have no issues keeping 95/95 uptime. Yes it's easier to do it with SOJ but it doesn't make you a bad player for just choosing light shock.
@@MaekoX1 "Yes it's easier to do it with SOJ" Well, there you go. Exactly why I suggested to replace Light Shock. I mean yeah Light Shock works but its simply inferior. Big reasons why SoJ is superior: 1. You can pre-cast it 2. Longer lasting Brand for when you have to run off for a mech IE. Akkan g3 targeted with green mark w/ partner. With light shock your brand would fall off while you're running around with your partner.
I don't mean this to hate on the video or you but there's a lot of misinformation with the video and tons of ways to improve via tripods, ordering of skills ect. If needed I can go further but honestly the things I would point out would make a lot of the video wrong. I'm not sure of the audience you're aiming for but it popped up in my recommendation, if you're aiming for a particular audience then you can pass over this comment but I can go further on a lot of things you can improve
