Not being cruel but think about it: a human being has a lifespan of 80 years to possibly 120; a little dog has at best, 15 - 20 years. Roxanne & Anthony have a little boy who needs his momma much more and longer than Lillian will ever need Rox. I think it is ridiculous to place more value on an animal than on a human being -- a lot of virtue signaling going on in this whole event with Lillian.

@@TSV167 well, I don’t think you’re being cruel and I think we all see things the way we wanna see them. Roxanne is a good loving person. She’s a strong mother a strong worker and I adore her. this kind of thing could’ve happened to any of us. I’m just really happy that they found Lily. It’s hard to believe that little boot scooter dodged all them damn coyotes and bears and anything else. But hell that’s probably why she’s so damn tired right now. I was running like crazy. Those Wild animals saw her fly by and said , “HELL NO that’s gonna take to much effort in his heat” and that’s why Lily is alive. She was boo Scootin it fast 😆 That’s probably why that baby is so exhausted mentally and physically right rnow but it’s I believe she’ll come back. She’ll perk up when mama gets a hold of her. 👊💖

However Lilian is gotten back home will depend upon her condition at the time. I would not want Roxanne to crash and die on a 6&1/2 hour drive to MS and/or a 6&1/2 trip back home to AR, would you? (Not nasty? Think about it! Wyatt loves HIS mom, too! )

That really makes me so mad for people who could be so mean to Roxanne they had be glad that I didn’t see them comments I would have been upset and angry at the same time . I haven’t even met Roxanne and Anthony would have laid into those trolls . Like no tomorrow . I am so glad you are taking care of them now the trolls . ❤I love you so so much . I’m just glad that Syd and Tim are Angels as well as you .thank you

"Did not give up on her". Implying? If the neighbors had not seen her a few times they would have naturally given up on her considering her small size, the terrain, etc. Please drop your condemnation of Rox because they left the next morning to drive almost a full day back home to their many other responsibilities: dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, garden, caretakers, etc, all the while Rox grieving and beating up on herself (in false guilt)! Risky driving, considering ...

Totally agree 100%!! Thank you Syd and please thank your neighbors/friends for helping to find her. I honestly think maybe part of the problem is that she is depressed. Praying she keeps getting better. 🙏💜

I do think too .Lillian thinks she lost Roxane her ; mother and the tribe of dogs she lives with and Wyatt and Anthony ..once she sees them she will perk up and get out of her sense of dispare and depression .... When Roxanne found her along the side of the road , she used to hold her and carry her around like she was her baby .. Amazing Liillian hers a good little doggey...... Syd was a good surrogate mommy to Lillian through all of her scary time ....💟. It is so wonderful so see how caring people are , the whole fam is like that . And Syd just loves animals and is trained almost like a Vet would be or someone who worked for a Vet ......Its a wonderful story tho....It would make a good Disney Movie ! ha ha God Bless yah Syd ......:) 😇🥰

The vet doesn't agree. The vet said she's not ready for travel, yet.

I have seen vets be wrong j/s… but in this case I think she is really missing her mama and will definitely improve once reunited with her praying for Lillian’s speedy recovery

Try giving her some soft food. The moisture content will also help. Love Y'all

I don’t think you understand the fragile state she was in . A long car trip like that likely would have killed her . No offense but I’ll take the vet’s opinion over some guy on the internet who has never laid on eyes on the dog. We are doing the responsible thing which is getting her the medical care she needed to be fit for a 6.5 hr car trip.

@Bearsdenadventurues I tend to agree. I don't understand how resting/sleeping in a car with familiar voices would be more harmful than laying in a house with unfamiliar voices.

@@3MISSISSIPPI wow calm down California this guy on the internet was just giving advice that was coming from 46 years of operating a animal emergency care in central Florida from your info your vet was doing nothing but guessing you know like maybe she ran into a post or something an evidently your the one not understanding because everything you said can be caused by server anxiety and like i said if she likes riding then the car ride would be nothing compared to the benefit of her home surroundings . im so sorry trying to help upset you it wont happen again we will mind our on busyness and my retired veterinarian neighbor just called to see if you had posted anymore updates i told her you have it under control and don't need any help from anyone on the internet. and we surly didn't think you weren't doing your best to tend to her we think your awesome for taking responsibility of her.

I have 20 years of medical experience myself and plenty of time under my belt caring for a variety of different animals in a variety of different care need situations. You have to understand that we get bombarded by people on the Internet who have as much of the story as we’ve given thinking that they know Best in the situation. Nine times out of 10 that is not the case. The vet thoroughly examined her and her conclusion was that she had a head injury and that she was severely dehydrated and that she needed calm quiet to rest and that is what we have been doing. Until today when she finally started drinking on her own, I was having to orally with a syringe give her liquid like every hour to get her hydrated after the subcutaneous hydration pack had been administered the day before. Throwing an animal in a vehicle for a 6 1/2 hour car drive when they were on deaths door was simply not a good idea. She was very unaware of what was going on around her, she was not freaked out because she was in an unfamiliar environment. She never even opened her eyes for the first day and a half. We are following the vets orders and what Roxanne and I think are best for Lillian‘s positive outcome at thriving and making it through this. I’m sorry you were so easily offended at me saying that I don’t just necessarily jump and do everything on the Internet that someone tells me to do but I’m sorry I don’t. I don’t know you. I don’t know what your knowledge or history or experience is in this world. I am taking the advice of a vet that I know and trust I am relying on my own medical knowledge and doing what the owner of the animal also wishes that we would do. She has not shown any signs of fear throughout me having her here she has been loving and has made tremendous progress from going from deaths door to eating drinking and going to the bathroom regularly. She will begin her journey home tomorrow because she is now fit for travel and her system is regulated. If you disagree with that, I’m sorry, but her owner wanted that the vet wanted that and me being the one here with her I felt that that was the best choice as well. It’s not like I was a total stranger. Lillian knows me she has met me several times. I’m the one that has been taking care of her and hand feeding and watering her until she got to the point where she could do it on her own. Maybe now you understand the situation better. If someone was on deaths door and it happened away from their home, would you want to immediately transport them 6 1/2 hours away so that they could be in their own bed or would you want them to be in a place where they could be calm and taken care of until they were well enough to travel and not die in the long car ride when they’re having to have somebody feed and water them, every two hours. It’s common sense.

I don't understand why little Lillian has to be daisy chained home, why don't Rox and Ant come get her? Surely it'd be a much more calming ride home for her in that case.

Good idea. My vet has me keep it on hand. A small dogs blood sugar can drop quickly and nutri-cal brings it back up. I know it’s the brain injury causing this, but nutri cal would be good if she has a bad day and won’t eat.
