My dog got on top of me in bed when I was sick because I was shivering. She was trying to warm me up. I thought she might be on to something to be so worried about me. So I went to the ER instead of going to sleep. It turned out that I had a massive sepsis infection and would have died if I went to sleep. I love my Sheltie Molly.

My dog Bear (he looked like one when he was a pup) never got up onto my bed until I started receiving chemo treatments which made me very sick . He took it upon himself to jump up & rest his chin on my legs and stayed there until I felt well enough to get up , usually after 3 or 4 hours . Later , after my treatment ended , When I would lay on HIS couch while still tired from my ordeal , he would come to the couch and rub his cold wet nose on my face as if to say Get off of MY bed !

I work at a vet clinic and so many people decline chipping their pets even though it really doesn't cost that much. You never know if your pet will get lost. I'm very happy this family was reunited with their dog! Edit: Heres some info about microchips bc y'all are being really fucking annoying - It's not a GPS - You can choose what information you disclose to the microchip company - When a microchip scanner is used on your pet, the only thing that shows up is the registration number and the number of the microchip company - A random person is not able to get your personal info from your pet if they're microchipped - To obtain your contact info, the vet clinic will contact the microchip company and the company will contact you - Microchips only work if you register the microchip and keep the information updated if your phone number or address change - Microchips are tiny and fit inside a 15-gauge needle - Pets are usually sedated for microchip insertion since it's often done at the same time as a spay/neuter - Pets don't require sedation for a microchip so if you're not doing any surgeries for your pet but still want them chipped you can do this and it doesn't hurt too much - I put one in a big dog and he didn't even notice - Pets don't know they're microchipped and can't feel it because it's way too small - The average cost I could find in the US and Canada is $25-$75 and most places I've been to in Canada have been $50 (including really cheap and more expensive clinics) - Microchipping doesn't mean that you shouldn't put an identification tag and rabies tag on your dog - Microchipping and up-to-date rabies tags are the best way to prove legal ownership over your pet
@sophisticatedwrat
@sophisticatedwrat Год назад
@@vlinder0108 I’m glad. A lot of ppl will book spays/neuters and then decline doing microchipping (which is usually done at the same time). So they choose to spend a good amount of money already with the neutering but then still try to cheap out on the little things. It was disappointing to see…

What I have seen is a ton of dogs and cats who could have been reunited with their families in a very short time have to go off to the shelter, where, if they find their dogs, they have to pay a big fine to retrieve them.

@@DanielRumbacher This is a Border Collie, and while they are very smart, they also have tons of energy... if a door is left open, they are gonna go run and burn energy. She could've just been preoccupied with new sights and sounds, instinctively trying to herd things, looking for her people, etc, and went too far and got disoriented, or she could be too young to know her way home, or someone could have picked her up and driven her to another unfamiliar location, or even straight to the shelter. Does this look like a dog who was trying to escape a bad home? Does this look like a dog who doesn't love her people? Sure, they should've been more responsible owners and had her microchipped and/or collared & tagged, but I can relate to procrastinating on things like that, thinking nothing like this will ever happen (and it probably wouldn't have in the owners' care... this was a petsitter who left a door open). This exact thing happened to me when Tofu was 4 months old. I was at work & had my parents watched them! My mom left patio door opened, Tofu came out to explore! He got abducted! I didn't have a chance to put a microchip in him. I posted flyers everywhere. I cried & was so worried! I have ZERO social media. All moms & grandma from my neighborhood posted Tofu's pic all over! His pic even got all the way to New York lol. Three days later, a man called. He said, "Look I don't want to make this call, but my mom said I need to do the right thing. I'm calling you to let you know I have your dog. My daughter loves him so much I didn't want to make this call." I didn't care. At midnight, I drove to his house and picked up Tofu. PS... She was malnourished, crawling with fleas and plainly traumatized by a few days out on the road in the elements (it was February). For several weeks she was so sad, either missing her family or remembering some abuse. It's taken months to earn her trust, but now she's my constant companion. I let her run loose on my small ranch, but not before I got her a microchip, some actual dog-tags with my digits and an Airtag on her collar. Chip your pets, folks!

Heart warming and emotional. What a lovely moment of realisation 🥺 It’s hard knowing all the other animals are waiting for their forever home. When we rescued our recent cat, seeing all the others especially the elderly ones, was upsetting. He was estimated to be around 1 year old but had been abandoned by his male owner in his mid 20’s when he moved away. He took his dog but left what was then a 6 month old kitten to fend for itself. He was covered in mud and dust with sore eyes. When we cleaned and brushed him, cleaned his eyes and fed him up the transformation was incredible. He’s a stunning creamy white short haired cat with green eyes, intelligent and has such a gentle nature. We called him Casper and we love him to bits 😻

That brings tears to my eyes. I love cats but also dogs and other animals. When we emigrated to America we took our cats with us. According to the airport, we were allowed to take them to Economy Class. Both were in 2 transport baskets. But the stewardes didn't allow that. She wanted to talk to the captain and I said well then talk to him, I don't care, I don't go anywhere without my cats. She came back and, exceptionally, we were allowed into business class. Such a sweet story so glad they found her! My indoor cat went missing, I went to the pound with flyers, they said they hadn’t seen her, posted flyer in office by their help window. I called every day-nope haven’t seen any black & white card but don’t give up hope…after 9 days of calling every day and photo of cat on their wall my friend saw my cat on their adoption page. She was sure it was my cat. I raced from an hour away at work to get there before they closed having phoned ahead to not let ‘Geraldine’ (the name they gave her) be adopted. I got there-IT WAS HERE, beyond a doubt. She jumped into my arms (her usual trick) I paid the ‘adoption fee’ and left-moral: don’t trust the people at the desk, always go look in person at each cage, and watch their webpage. (Cat was afraid of outside, never went out, I believe my ex took her and dropped her off, as she was documented picked up by the same animal shelter a mile away the day before I went to the shelter they def had her the whole time) lucky it wasn’t overcrowded bc many kill off every 3rd day. Oh my gosh, this beautiful video made me cry, and I'm so happy for Ashley and her family. I was blessed to be led to a shelter which is too long story, but God works in mysterious ways, and a man had rescued a dog that jumped out of a pick up truck, on a rainy night, & she broke her leg & her full recovery lasted a year, and the shelter thought she'd never get adopted with her problems, and how timid and withdrawn she was, and I was led to her, and I adopted her, my beautiful, little girl, and she changed my life, but what I realized after I adopted her was heartbreaking. She was totally suffering from neglect & was severely under weight, & it was devastatingly clear that She had been physically & emotionally abused, and I think she tried to escape her abusers. I would never want to take a dog from somebody, knowing the bond the animals have with their humans, their parents, but in this case, I believe God led me to this little girl because I was meant to be her mother, and my job was to love & cherish her & save her from the abuse, and my job was to give her the best life, ever. Then I realized, I didn't rescue her, but rather, she's rescued me in every way that a person could be rescued. I was so blessed to be her mother, and she turned my life around, and my family, as well. Sadly, there was so much tension and unrest in my home, and everybody wanted her, but I made them swear that they would not behave in the way because it would be threatening to her, and no less than what she had suffered prior, and I would not bring her into the home, if they did not abide by these rules because it would be damaging to this little girl, and they were able to rise above it, for this beautiful dog who made us, all, better people & fixed my family! If that hadn't happened, I was prepared to leave, with her, because I absolutely loved her, with every fiber of my being, and she was no less than my child who deserved love, safety, and a home devoid of contention. I was in college and living, at home, with my parents, though it wouldn't have been easy, but if I had to leave, for her, I would do it. Animals truly are the light of this world and the glory of God, and I take loving them just as seriously as I would another human. Praise GOD & 🐶My beautiful Batina, as she brought peace, love, harmony, and joy to my house, and we were inseparable for 12 years, and I never went on a vacation without her, or anywhere, if I could help it, so I am so blessed for that little girl, & I miss her terribly. The love of an animal is truly an extraordinary, God-given gift, and they deserve happiness, joy, and safety. The Love of an animals is so healing and an ineffable gift. I am grateful and humbled for and by their unconditional love and forgiveness. I believe that animals are angels, with fur who are a blessing beyond words. I now realize that every one, of my beautiful fur children that I rescued, in fact, had rescued me, and I truly believe they were all fated to be a part of my story and showed up, when they were meant to, and they have taught me some of the greatest lessons, of my life, not the least of which is the realization, in all of its glory and beauty , that their love is a gift that is life-changing, in every way possible. Thank you, 4 letting me share my story. Sending hugs to my beautiful baby 💜🐶Bootsie Batina🎁✝️🌟☀️🕊️🥰, in heaven. I know she was fated to be a part of my story, and I will see her again, never to be separated. God bless, beautiful 💜🐶Ashley🥰 and her awesome family. Thank you for whoever shared this heartwarming video that makes you realize, in a much deeper way, how animals aren't just pets, but they are an equal member of your family, and their happiness, for me, comes above all else.🥰💜😺🐰🐶🐝🌟🦋🕊️☀️
