That's a huge encampment, lot of tunnelling through hard rock must have taken a bit of time. Impressed that there are lights within the tunnel may be there are some volunteers looking after it.

From a google earth photo revealing gun placements we are taken to a pre WW1 fortification which even stunned the Germans! Congratulations on a really great discovery EE. HH you have done an amazing job of raising your son! I loved being in that fortress with you and imagining all the soldiers lined up in the shooting galleries defending their town. ❤

You can certainly see why the Germans were impressed with this fortress. It has been really well laid out and contructed, and in such a dominant position, overlooking everthing. With those tunnels leading everywhere, allowing the troops to move well protected, the shooting galleries, and it's howitzers, it would have been a hard nut to crack for the Germans. I'm always impressed when you see places like this, being looked after, and maintained, with well lit tunnels, and no graffiti! Just love it when you can see these amazing places without these modern "embellishments". Thank you guys, for sharing this amazing place with us. Really looking forward to seeing what other fascinating things you found, in part 2. Cheers to you both! Stay safe!

Another great video my friend. Needed a break from felling damaged trees. I would love to spend time there and restore the galleries and initial killing zone. The metal bars in the 120mm gun positions are not only stiffeners but 30degree interval markers, dual purpose. EE you did some very nice research. I was going back to cutting but we now have a raging thunderstorm. I am not one to argue with Thor. Can't wait for next part. Both of you be same and well.

What a fantastic location HH, and well done EE for finding this spectacular Fortress, and taking us along with you to explore its features. Given the electric lighting throughout, I am thinking that this Fortress is possibly curated, possibly by local historian organisation? In any case it is a great example of the extreme effort the military is willing to put into protecting its territory. Another great adventure guys, and always looking forward to the next one. Stay safe, and greetings from Australia 🇦🇺!

Hi, I'm not sure if the first recess is for a projector. I think we should instead opt for a French 75 mm model 1897 cannon mounted on a model 1915 anti-aircraft mount. there is an interesting vestige of it on Håøya, it seems to me.
