Lost Grove Lake in Iowa is managed as a premier largemouth bass lake. Several fish over 6 pounds are caught each year with some even breaking the 7 pound mark.
Come along as I take the Seastream Angler 120 PD pedal drive fishing kayak out on the lake to hunt for a lunker.
The action started off slow but eventually I figured out a pattern to put fish in the boat. Unfortunately, just as I figured out the fish and caught 3 bass in a row, my rudder cable broke. With the windy conditions it wasn't feasible to continue fishing without steering or an anchor so I called it quits early to head home and start the repair.
I added a few bonus clips from a couple of previous excursions to Lost Grove Lake where I hadn't intended to film for a video but still caught a few clips of some catches.
I'll continue to post more videos of some kayak bass fishing action from this fishery and other so come along and join the channel if you'd like to follow along.

Interested in your kayak and I appreciate you putting out the videos on the information on them and your pros/cons. If you don't mind me asking what happened to your rudder cable? Also how do you feel about it after some heavy use now? Any new cons pop up for ya. Thanks!!

The rudder cable eyelet was too tight on the rudder and didn't allow for it to turn freely. This caused it to wear over time. I loosened the screw into the lock nut and no issues since. The kayak is great otherwise. The seat sits pretty low so I use a boat cushion to raise up a bit more and I wish it came with the normal gear tracks so an adapter wasn't required. The pedal drive has been great though. Couldn't live without it.

Appreciate your reply! Only things I've seen as far as a nock against them have been the seating positioning being to low, rudder handle running into the seat if you're stationed in the middle and cables breaking but that looks like a simple and easy repair. Looking for my first PD yak and so far this one has been really catching my eye. Thanks again!

What is your rod, reel, and line setup?

Generally I use a 30 series spinning rod with a 6'6" medium rod with 20lb power pro braid from my kayak for soft plastics.
