From ITV's This Morning show.
(Jemima's reaction to the "A litle bit of a hottie..." comment cracks me up!)
And Elliot's voice...The man is such class.

Elliot Crown was the best Darcy. Love this version of George Wickham ,so funny and amusing. Amanda is lovely, some complain about her hair style but she did came from the future. Love Mr. Bennett. In fact can't decide which character I prefer more in this version. Love everything about it.

I am madly in love with the book and every movie and television adaptation of Pride and Prejudice but this is definitely higher up on my list of favorites! It is exactly what I have been fantasizing about since first reading Pride and Prejudice. I know I sound like a goober but it is really well acted and thought out and perfect!

I focus into more important things in movies than hair (plot for example). I want to enjoy movies rather than look for mistakes in them. Amanda was confused, her first thought wasn't do I look right! I watched a "making lost in austen", and they said that Amanda's hair represents that you can really notice she is a modern woman caught into an environment unusual to her. Darcy loved her even with her hair down, so why bother? :)

I meant that Amanda doesn't have to bother to put her hair up. In my opinion it just isn't that big of a deal. But I understand if you are so passionate about that era. :)

Actually Amanda tried to tell Darcy about Elizabeth and wanted to go home like half of the series. :) Elizabeth wanted to leave her home and didn't want to get back... Her loss. And who cares if Amanda's hair is up or not? :/

NETHERFIELD not NETHERLAND...its a house not a country...if she hadn't read the book then she could at least get her facts right! what i would give just to be there!

Alex Kingston is the best Mrs. Bennet so far.

@Janeite1 I agree completely with your comment. I'm in the US as well and wouldn't have seen the interview. Rented the series on Netflix and have recommended it to several friends who are also Austen fans. Brava! SpiritedMuse, and thanks.

Sorry, but as a passionate reader of these sorts of novels and being very interested in the period itself, it was the first thing I noticed, she would NEVER have been allowed to leave the house with her hair down.

Good for you! I am VERY interested in fashion during the 1800's. I sew and I have also started an association for people with this big interest in the 1800 era. Therefore, hair, dresses, furniture and such things are very, very important to me. So I do bother. I do not care if someone loves another person with her hair down in some movie/series. The hair and clothing should be correct according to that era, according to me. And that would never be acceptable during that time.

So when you watch movies from a certain era, you do not care if the hair and dresses are correct according to that time? Well, everyone is different.. and if Amanda love that time so much, why not adapt to that era? What an opportunity! And third; it was not ok for women to have their hair out like that.. only prostitutes had their hair out in public.

I didn't like this series. Amanda has a huge underbite and I do not get why she wear dresses but not put up her hair as they did in that era. And I also find her annoying destroying for other people because she wants her story.

graleh You know after watching this for a 3rd or 4th time..I noticed alot more and her character started to annoy me too for some reason. Telling everyone how their lives should end up..but they had no clue what she was talking about, so it made her look dumb. I prefer the Colin firth pride and prejudice over this version. Although I know this was a twist on the movie. I enjoyed the drama in this version, but Amanda's character did get on my nerves a bit.
