At about 9 minutes into the video, where you say "this is a dead end here" that dead end is where my father grew up before he left for Canada. His entire family once passed through the doors of the house just before the end of that street. I've visited many times. I remember playing with my cousins on the street right where you were walking. You've brought back many memories! As usual, a great walk about video Steve. Thank you kindly!

LOST IN FLATBUM MAZE🚶🎥 😂. Loved all those 'Tale Telling' historic B'Kara alleys Steve 👻👏. Read the other day that Malta pigeons are on "The Pill" now as they're causing total havoc. If I was there, my ftira filling would be, juicy Maltese lycopene rich tomatoes (why Kunserva?) , EV olive oil, Tuna, butter beans, pepper gbejniet, green olives, capers, lettuce and bit of onion. OPTIONAL : pepper and/or salt, gardiniera & few mashed anchovies 😋. BIG? small? 🤔. THANKS Steve. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

Hi Steve, great video, I've mentioned this before but these Lost In videos really show the true Malta. I'm impressed seeing all the improvements like there seems to be hardly any exposed electrical wire hanging all over the place (like the old days) and the state of the street paving look good. I heard that the government is coming out with a new Tax incentive to anyone buy and restoring old house to live in as apposed to buying new places. Steve Maltese bread is the best in the world a nice sandwich is Ftria BLT😘👍👍👍👍👍👍

@carmenmorrison3932

My mother grew up in 72 St Gregory Street, Zejtun. Opposite her house is the President of Malta's house. St Gregory's Church is interesting as it has a secret passage and the Church itself has a wonderful history. Juventutis Domus is also in St Gregory's Street and the cemeteries are also interesting. I know you like gardens and there are two gardens in Zejtun. St. Gregory Street is one of the finest streets in Żejtun. This is the main road leading from the new parish church to the old parish church. On both sides visitors can admire noble traditional town-houses in baroque style. St Catherine's Church in Zejtun is beautiful and this dome can be seen from Valletta. There is a lot more information but I'm sure you will have no problems finding this. I look forward to seeing more of your videos and thank you for your time.

I am not sure if it still happens in Malta, yet I remember that at least in the past it was sort of a tradition to sleep at home during a lunch break, whether a person owns a business, or works for someone else they get that afternoon nap. That is why it can get silent, well minus birds, and pets. I think that at least in some parts of Malta and Gozo they'd still be doing that. The only other way that I have had Ftira besides what you mentioned is a pre-made ham and cheese one that I bought last time I was in Malta, it was the only Ftira they had when I went. I know that some people in Malta sometimes make simple Ftira sandwiches, like olive oil, tomatoes, and salt + pepper, or the same thing replacing the tomatoes with tomato paste.
