While Lost In Random could certainly have benefitted from more variety and depth, the overall experience is more than saved by its dense assortment of creative elements.
Finally a new game that has some truly unique and original settings and tones. Feels like a video game more than a simulation like most games try to be now
PlayStation briefly mentioned it in one of their State of Whatever events, but you’re right other than that I haven’t seen much about it and only knew what it was bc I check the psn, USeshop, and Microsoft store often looking for something new to play.
You had to watch the game conferences to keep up with it and gaming RU-vid channels. You have to do your due diligence. There was marketing and promotion
@@Th33anomaly That's with everything . Gaming commercials on tv are few and far between unless you're Uncharted/God of War/Kingdom Hearts/Mario/etc. Everything is online and you have to be involved in those channels to know what's going on. We dont get gaming magazines mailed to our houses on a subscription anymore. That's how I use to get all my news as a kid and still that was me seeking it out AND PAYING FOR IT. (My mom paying for it)
5 hours into the game and it’s great, haven’t gotten dragged into a games story in an a long time. Sometimes feels like I’m playing a main role in a movie
I’m in 4 town and am loving this game.the art style and characters are excellent. I am also having a great deal of fun messing with my deck build and trying out different combat styles. I was intrigued from when i first saw it at EA’s showcase.
Never been able to handle the idea of card based combat in video games really, but fuck did I have tons of fun with the deck in this game, being able to switch your style completely or just stay solid on what you're comfortable with there was enough there to keep me entertained any time I got to a combat section of the game.
You can play the game in instant gratification mode if you build the deck right, I hacked and slashed the whole 15 hours while also enjoying a nice story.
It looks like a tim Burton or Henry selek movie and that's by far my favorite art style. I have been wishing for a remake or reboot of that Alice in wonderland game from ps2 the dark one and this seems pretty similar so I can't wait to play it. I still wish they would remake or reboot the Alice in wonderland game though.
A full fledged 3D game in Unity that not only looks good but is actually well optimized too!! Not a single frame drop on PC. This feels like an Unreal engine game! It seems Unity has gotten better over the years for 3D games. Fe was also done in Unity but it had some noticeable frame drops which is odd since it's not a demanding game
I’ve played this since it’s release and I love the unique style, it feels like a Tim Burton universe, I don’t understand why some people get so confused by it tho, it’s easy to grasp and play, just follow those random rules haha.
This game is amazing people. Just buy it. Honestly some of the most fun with a game I've had in ages. It's just so different. It reminds me of hoe games like spyro felt back when they were new, but way better. It's like it's animated by Tim Burton, great story line, soooo different. Fun and unique combat. Was $27 or so on series s. I'm Lovin it honestly, and I'm more of a first person shooter kind of guy.
I love gothic games, movies and art so I love the artistic style of this but I'm so BORED. I'm not sure if it really is the game or depression again but it's just such a slog to get through and too linear and I find myself skipping dialogue as it just seems to drag. I've made it to threedom square but I'm forcing myself to play at this point.
I almost skipped this game after hearing the combat wasn't great. But I have to say, the world and characters more than make up for it. I'm 3 hours in and it's been an absolutely joy so far. Exploring the world almost gives me the feeling of wonder that classic 3D Zelda games gave me as a kid, and that is about as high praise as I can give. Really love the characters and voice acting Honestly, the combat system will never be amazing, but it could be dramatically improved simply by doubling enemy damage, and halving their health. This would add a BIT of challenge, while shortening the encounters. Would really love to see this implemented. At any rate, even as it stands, it still good enough to not be a deterrent to play this game, as a package, it is WELL worth your time and money, ESPECIALLY at the absurdly low cost it's currently going for
It really felt like you were wondering through board games, and the sides of a die. The most ironic thing, regarding the narrative, to me, was “Random rules”! The Queen, in fact, did not care for truly random chaos. But the illusion of controlled chaos. So long as it was all controlled by her die alone. It rolled randomly, but the Queen was the only one in control. So it wasn’t truly random in Random. Not like ot had been. In turn, she’d wished to crush Random under her strict rule, that seemed like fair random chance, but was instead strict controlled chaos under her.
6.0/10 for me, and that is being generous because of the high production values and unique world/animation. Gameplay was like a 4/10. These developers should focus on animated movies. They don't know how to make an actual game with actual you know... gameplay. Smh! I swear it's pretty rare to get good gameplay on newer games. Developers focus so much on standing out, that the they forget the basics of what makes a game a game.
This is the 2nd review that said this game was easy..I'm having a different experience playing on it with a pc but I'm also a little rusty. I'm in love with the story line.
After you finish the game can you replay the game where your previous playthrough carry over? Like your strong from the start or the game resets back to zero?
Great question. From other reviews I've watched you RESET to zero. Like it won't let you keep playing after you beat the game. (Not 100% on this, but I know reviewers said you can't travel back to previous towns. So as example: Once you go to #6, you are stuck there)
Game is too blurry and there is no graphics option menu to change anything , forced AA , forced post processing. no Graphics preset. only brightness that help a little.
I will admit. The mainstream ea games are really hit or miss. However, i really like all the games they have released from their "EA Originals" program.
