Consider this video another Lost Media Update video -- halfish. I've talked about Special Ed, Dreamfinders, and Episode 29 all before. But they all ended up not existing, I thought I collected them all and make a video about it. Oddly enough this video idea was suggested a looooong time ago, and I just never went for it haha.

I think it's just the fact that there are rarely any shows that are just episode 1, episode 2, episode 3, and etc. And adding onto the fact that the rest of the episodes are titled normally.

Sometimes, it's the quest for an unfindable thing that leads to the side discovery of some unrelated lost media. Even if it's not here, it's worthy to search as good surprises are around the corner, sometimes.
That was literally me when I was 8-years-old, trying to find big foot in GTA: San Andreas when in reality it was my brother lying about a computer mod. He wanted to see if I was gullible enough to find a mod for the PC Version on a PS2. I was so hyped to find it, I even got a childhood friend involved and spent many weekends and days after school trying to find big foot. But we did discover a car out in the wilderness that drives by itself and will try to kill you if you get too close.
I always found the concept of lost media interesting. Especially in this day and age you know? The idea of something you used to watch quite often just suddenly disappearing and only having the word of mouth of others to confirm its existence is both scary and intriguing to be honest.
A lot of online videos from RU-vid's younger days, when it had legit competitors like BlipTV, are lost during the transition to RU-vid. Either due to their content being bannable or the videoes themselves were lost becsuse these other services didn't give enough headsup to creators. Some got recovered because some people downloaded these videos before the other services went down. Some creators even asked fans for such videos since they don't have backups of the 167th video about sasquatch dong they made. More remain unrecovered, though. Point is, there's probably gonna be more lost media in the future
Mandela Effect is the dumbest idea anyone has ever had. You're not from some special parallel universe, you just got something wrong. It's clearly not an uncommon thing

I wonder if "Special Ed" was about being held back in school, 'Bart Gets an F' style, and maybe bullying related to it? Definitely potential for 'too real' in that.
@@vizthex I doubt it. The show never even got close to something like that, and I doubt they would have wanted to attach that to any of the cast, let alone make a new character just for the episode.
From my experience being in real-life special ed classes, I can attest to it not being a fun place to be. It's easy for me to imagine an episode where a character struggles with a developmental or learning disability - one of those "real-world issues" episodes that every show has from time to time. Such an episode could easily delve into themes of alienation, ostracization, even self-hatred... I can see why it might be considered "too real".
That, and I'm skeptical of a show like Ed, Edd, and Edy being able to pull it off without it seeming like they were mocking kids with learning disabilities. It was never a serious show, so it would be hard for them to tackle such a serious topic with grace.
And abuse. Special education departments are rampant with unreported physical, psychological, and sexual abuse that there's just not enough evidence to litigate, or that the parents never find out about because the kids have trouble communicating. At every school I've been to, many people regularly saw the kids in special-ed be physically abused or publicly humiliated, but the teachers just called it "discipline" and everyone turned a blind eye.
@Willow Porter We don't actually know if it has anything to do with a disability. We don't know _anything_ about it. Jumping to conclusions will just make dissent over something that doesn't even exist.

The Kablam one would be extremely unlikely considering how Nickelodeon didn't allow shows to mention them ending at the time. There was one Angry Beavers episode called "Bye Bye Beavers" that was going to be entirely about this that wasn't aired for that reason. Audio and storyboards from it have surfaced.

I absolutely lost my mind at Dreamfinders, I’m actually obsessed with the product that came out of that (journey into Imagination) it’s so funny because that very plot you described is almost identical to the Figment comics from 2014 featuring blarion mercurial and his figment appropriately named figment (blarion is dreamfinder) Fear or as he is now called Doubt was the anti dreamfinder, and the bewilderness is now the nightmare nation! Yes, I visited Disney World and Epcot in 1986. I took the Imagination ride and remember the live action guy walking around with the Figment dragon puppet. It was like a ventriloquist doll but it used a fake arm wrapped around the dragon to hide the fact that the actor was performing the puppet with his real arm. Don't know about the voice, I never walked up to him (I was 20 when I visited the park)...
@@HailAnts the Figment puppet didn't actually "talk" to the guests, the actor pretended it was whispering in his ear. There's an interesting interview with the first Dreamfinder actor on the Defunctland channel. A neat trick the puppet would do was steal kids hats and wear them.
Theory: They never did any of that and Candace just wanted revenge for things they've done (I.e broken their toys from the song in the episode where it was all a dream) so she made things up.
4Kids was strangely kinda racist towards Japanese people for some reason. Like, why remove any reference of Japanese culture in an anime of all things? Anime is literally made by Japanese people. lol

Will N You know 4Kids never wanted OP in the first place because it was bundled with another Toei anime that the company originally wanted which was Ultimate Muscle... I find it humorous that most of Toei’s English-Dubs of anime are problematic like the many dubs of DBZ such as the French-English dub, Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya’s DiC dub, Fist of The North Star’s William Winkler’s dub and so on...

"Dreamfinders" was based on the old EPCOT ride "Figment's Journey Into Imagination". Figment was the pink dragon character. Edit: Purple. Not pink. My bad; it's been a LONG time since I visited DW.
Why was I surprised that this was based on an EPCOT ride, even though this was LITERALLY about Disney? the dumb blonde moment i had there is too immense to defeat.

Yes, new lost media. Edit: "Dreamfinders" would most likely have been tied to the attraction in Epcot's Imagination pavilion, "Journey your imagination," due to Dreamfinder and Figment ( purple dragon on Dreamfinder ) being the main character's of the ride. That saying, "Dreamfinders," wouldn't work now because the ride has been revamped and only Figment is left of the duo.
Thank you for this. After so many years, I suddenly see this video and the mention of Figment. I had a plush dragon when I was very little by that very name. Supposedly it wasn't something of a name I could come up with so likely my dad named it. ... and now I see this post and my thoughts are all a mess remembering that little plush.
It was not "Enter Your Imagination", it was Journey Into Imagination. It was rebranded as Journey Into YOUR Imagination, and then into Journey Into Imagination With Figment.

Nobody takes viewer discretion seriously, they exist so people can't say they didn't know they would view something that could potentially be upsetting. How do you get nightmares from blameitonjorge videos? They're rarely actually scary, just intriguing.
Everytime i watch one of these lost media videos i hope to see you talk about a creepy psychological animated video that i saw on RU-vid around 2009-2010 about a guy trapped in a hospital. I remember a friend in highschool telling me about that Mark Twain episode that was on RU-vid so i went to go check it out and in the suggested videos i saw that video, all i really remember is that the characters really had no face, and one guy would wake up to hear a phone ringing down a random hallway so he would walk and pick it up, and i believe it was a girl screaming at him "why" then it jumps to him stabning himself over and over again. Then a nurse with no face will put him on a bed with wheels and push him down the hallway back to his room, then she will bandage him up and lay down in bed with him and this process will happen over and over again. And each time it will get more distorted. But at the end it finally explained that the girl on the phone was his wife that he stabbed to death. I also remembered that the animation looked really good and i only showed one friend and when i tryed to show other people it was deleted off of RU-vid. Please dont tell me im the only one who remembers this video?

I have this deep memory of a school game that so eerily showed up in my dreams. I have been looking it up with every possible keyword, but it may not even exist. This was in elementary and it still haunts me like all the other very real dreams.
Number 27 at least with Latin American Spanish, the letter “J” makes an H sound, and H itself has a distinct pronunciation that I can’t really explain in text. My mom’s whole family is Mexican so I’m basing my understanding off of that Spanish, not Spain.
The Real M&M yes and no. At the beginning of a word, an H is silent. But anywhere else it makes a sound that I can best explain as “ah-Che” in a verbal form.
Dreamfinder was a character created for the imagination pavilion in Epcot early in its creation. The dragons name is “Figment” and is actually a mascot of the Epcot center to this day. They even had their own ride themed after their lore called “journey to imagination”. If you’re wanting more information on the characters and their ride, I’ve gotten my info from @defunctland and his episodes and podcasts on the subject. Definitely worth looking into and Kevin’s channel is awesome.
“Episode 29” is a reference to the final episode of Twin Peaks season 2. It was actually episode 22 of season 2, but was referenced as episode 29 for years to come.
The biggest crime of "The Legend of Dratini" is that Ash catches a bunch of Tauros in that episode. That may seem fine, but they're referenced multiple times (even going so far as to use the Tauros in battle multiple times), meaning that the west has a massive continuity error.
You would think 4 kids would have just edited a water gun in or just removed that scene all together. With the Porygon episode I get airing on the side of caution and not airing the episode with the seizure scene removed because there was a chance another scene could have caused seizures due to the same animation effects being present.
Hey, wait a minute! That's Figment! The purple dragon from Dreamfinders? That's Figment from "Journey into Imagination"! And Journey into Imagination had a character called "The Dreamfinder" in it! THAT'S why kids supposedly "used their imagination" to defeat the villain! I KNEW this sounded familiar!

Mister Tago Mago no, it was never in production. All that is knows are the first 5 pages of script, he cover, and I think like 3 trailers (I know at least 1).
A Day With Spongebob was an idea. It was a script, and a cover a the writer put together to sell his idea. It’s kinda a weird limbo because while it did technically exist, it never went into production and was never really picked up
I have one more for you - the Seinfeld lost episode. In the late 90s, I caught a news story on TV about an episode of Seinfeld that never aired and was passed around on VHS copies. They showed a moment of it, and explained that it was grainy due to all the copies of copies. When modern RU-vid arrived, I searched for it. It appears that the lost episode was just a chopped together mix of deleted scenes from other episodes. A real lost episode didn’t exist (unless you count the gun episode, but that was never filmed).
Honestly forever i thought the kablam one existed and was real. I distinctly remember seeing that exact end scene that had been described. However given the time it would have been chances are I read about it online, thought it was cool, and while recovering from surgery had a feverpitched dream about it.
I don't know how you do it, but with just voice acting and editing you can make stuff as mundane as rumors about shows and games almost creepy. It's really cool how you do it!
I don't know if this applies to anyone else, but lost media of any kind freaks me out. It's not even full on scary, but just unsettling. The fact that something will never be seen again or in this case at all just freaks me out.
BACKGROUND ON THE DREAMFINDERS SHOW: It ties in with the EPCOT park at Walt Disney world. In Epcot, there's an imagination themed pavilion, with a ride that used to be called Journey into Imagination, and featured the Dreamfinder and his dragon Figment (As seen in the catalog thing). The ride was very whimsical and about The Dreamfinder and Figment discovering where imagination comes from. The show is clearly based on them, the ride opened in early 1983 and was very popular so it lines up. If I had to guess, it was cancelled due to budget cuts or because the series concept was very different from the ride/ it didn't lend well to television.
For some reason this is making me think of a show I watched when I was younger, Ninjago (though I am pretty sure it is going on now). It was originally going to end after its second season I believe after they defeated the Overlord and made Lloyd's father good again, but they brought the series back after a year or two. During that time, however, there were rumors of a purple ninja, something about Nya being pregnant, and a couple of other things, and I think that all turned out to be one fan trying to dupe everyone else.

@@CYBER_N0T very late response, but, especially very early in the series, the characters were ambiguously-aged young adults, rather than the teenagers they were later implied to be
"English Legend of Dratini," oh man, I remember looking so hard for that. I remember my one friend told me he saw it in English once on kids WB, and Wikipedia said it aired a handful of times on Cheese TV (an Australian children's block I think). I saw all the banned episodes in Japanese while doing a research project for school on the topic of my choice (because I knew of "that episode of Pokémon that gave kids seizures"), and one of the things I came across was the rumor that "because the episode was so crucial to the continuity of the series, 4kids reluctantly made a dub of it, but KidsWB refused to air it, and so we had the giant plot hole of Ash having 30 tauros without any explanation, and episode 34 referencing going to the safari zone with episode 36 referencing having been to the safari zone."
