When I tell you I will be there on opening weekend in front of the biggest screen possible with an extra large bucket of popcorn, I mean every word of it. So excited for this movie!❤

This is so PURE; I love it. I was exactly the same as soon as I heard Ariel’s melody at the start of the trailer - tears. It’s good to know other people also have such a strong connection to the music, the story, the emotions of feeling different and the yearn for more out there. Sending love ❤
Halle made me cry rivers when I watched her and Chloe sing “Cool People”live. She’s literally meant for this movie. I’m so tired of her making me cry!!! Lol
THIS is why we need to chill in the ripping disney for doing live actions. It’s a reincarnation. It can still produce the same- if not heightened- emotions as an animated film. ❤

You are too precious for words!! So adorable. I was beyond obsessed with _The Little Mermaid_ too. My mother absolutely dreaded going to the video rental shop with me for about a year after it was released to home video because if the movie was playing on the shop's TV's, I'd recite every line of dialogue and sing every f*cking lyric. _To make matters worse, I was a __-nine year-old-__ boy back then._ HA! I bawled like a baby watching this. It's good to know I wasn't alone by any stretch of the imagination and I look forward to seeing your commentary once it's released!
literally me too! i love it so much. given that as a kid, i havent even seen the actual movie because we didnt have the vhs tape or even a vhs player lol but we had this book, its a huge kids book of little mermaid with images on them. i still was obsessed and i heard the soundtrack first using a casette tape lol and instantly fell in love with part of your world. it was later when i finally saw the movie and i just love it so much. it really holds a special place in my heart.
I can't wait for the movie. I've cried at every trailer and I hope the film lives up to the music because we already know Halle is going to blow the songs out of the water

Hi Pat, thanks so much for your so emotional an sensible reaction. I'm writting this comment from heaven... I discovered the trailer this morning somewhere in Paris and didn't survive it. This trailer is already a Masterpiece... just can't imagine how good and strong the full movie will be. I'm also a big fan of the original version and I still remember the emotions I felt in the theater when I was 9 in 1989... You're right, everything looks stunning and Halle Balley is just pure Gold, she is actually so much more than our Ariel. She delivers her essence and even elevates the role with her magnificient voice, joy and absolute beauty... The full cast is absolutely brillant. I'll be back on earth in May to see the movie and do hope you'll post a review ! Au revoir ! 🧜♀

A voice comparable to Hally Bailey belongs to Rachel Zegler who at age 17 sang the part of the Puerto Rican character Maria for Srephen Spielberg in the RU-vid video entitled "Balcony Scene (Tonight)(From 'West Side Story')-RU-vid". After the 2022 West Side Story Zegler was cast as the live action Disney princess in Snow White and in the new Hunger games movie entitled Songbirds and Snakes where she will play the songbird. The best live operatic version of this song is by a Spanish tenor and a Puerto Rican soprano in the RU-vid video entitled "PLACIDO DOMINGO-ANA MARIA MARTINEZ-'TONIGHT' Duet". Which do you prefer?
