The first 8 minutes of this touch on the way that episodes are kind of written from the theme outwards, which is amazing to me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SPJXLhtgrrg.htmlsi=Hkj1VWuu14TJBbMj
I wasn't adequately clear but the low-level general healing for wounds on the island could be the water and larger scale healing would be from passing through the "bubble" around the island. Locke's spine, being the most drastic example, would be from the pocket's field grabbing the plane
@@gibby525 Pardon the late reply. I wanted to watch all of your videos before making any suggestions. Your insights are very interesting and thorough. As someone who has watched the entire show at least four times, it’s great to see such effort into dissecting my favorite TV Show. Now, some of the following you’ve already covered, but I’ll still put forth my suggestions for possible future videos: 1. Analysis on particular characters and their archs (if they have one), 2. Analyzing the philosophical, mythic and religious elements of the show.
Yeah, but for the lady to open the box and reveal that John Locke’s body was in it totally contradicts. What happens when Jack opened his father’s coffin. His father’s body wasn’t there which seems to hint at the fact that the black monster needs a dead body in order to walk around in it
The box being empty in the case of Jack (especially in the final scene of the show) is a good point to bring up because it ties back into another aspect of the mystery box. Lost has the message that the destination is equally important to the journey (the mysteries are equally important to the character study). Ultimately, the mystery box is 'empty' because the individual Candidate/viewer brings everything to it. This is something that Jack struggles with. The idea that whatever was inside the Box has already gone somewhere else is a level of uncertainty that many people can struggle with. But when Jack comes face to face with that something in The End (his father) he is able to reconcile and find closure.
12:00 bro who are you, this is tripping me out. id love to have been in the writers room for this shit. maybe it goes down in a lost reddit but this is wild
Looking to do more long form character specific vids like this LOST By The Numbers- Let It Go, Jack ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cjono_SqX1Y.html
Walt was real. Unconscious astral projection. There was a scene of the other woman asking Michael if Walt bi-locates. Seems like Damon said Walt by mistake, talking quickly and not fresh in mind.
Some interesting analysis, although I think you overemphasize the water bit. Remember, when Mother passed the torch as protector to Jacob, she used wine, not water. Also, how does the cork fit into this theory? If water was needed to cool the source by flowing freely into the opening, the cork, placed after the MiB was made into Smokey, would prevent the water from entering.
@@HDQuakelive Water is not added during the winemaking process. Any water in the wine comes directly from the grapes…wild grapes that would receive their water from rainfall. Unless, of course, you think Mother cultivated a secret vineyard and built an irrigation canal from the light infused water around the source. Now, where they got the yeast to add to ferment the sugar in the grape juice 🤷♂️
