**Merasheen island telegraph key restoration project**
Would you like to help us restore both of there old telegraph keys from Merasheen island, We are looking for replacement parts to restore both Telegraph keys, if you can help please send me an email at: vo1mds@hotmail.com

Amazing video Darrell. Hopefully someone can lead us in the right direction to get some parts for these two JH Bunnell keys. It would be amazing to be able to restore them to their past glory. Thanks so much for making the video.

Darrell, I will send parts for the solid brass frame (skeleton frame) key on Monday Jan 3rd 2022. I hope someone can come up with the parts for the stamped brass frame key. I just want to work you using the restored key from Merasheen island. 73, Don, NN8B

Thank you so much Donald! Clyde is in contact with the manufacturers of those keys, they are also having a look around to see if they have spare parts.... This is so cool i have to say, when a group of folks like yourself can come together to restore a telegraph key that may have been lost over 60 years ago! :-)

Fantastic find Darrell. What you have there are 2 J-38 keys. There are a lot on ebay and I belive there is a webpage that sell parts. If I find I pass to you the link. 73's de Pedro CT7ARQ

@@Radionut63 the second one is a J.H. Bunnell they look similar whit the J-38

You are missing quite a few bits and pieces from those keys. They might still be burried in the ground. Don't know. Finding a couple complete keys and transferring the parts might be the way to go because it's doubtful there are any OEM parts anywhere for vintage keys.

Wowzers! What a story, what a find! What stories those keys could tell if only they could speak. What stories they could tap out in Morse code. I love good news stories like this in a milieu where we hear so much bad news. Kudos to yourself and Clyde on this find.
