I can not believe how underrated this podcast is! I am 6 episodes in, and the format is really great. I'd listen to the whole thing in one sitting if it wasn't 2 in the morning already. Really great job!

Same here, except its 5am and I finished the entire season, this is actually so good to the point where i go back or watch the entire episode again just to make sure i understand 100% of the story and maybe i find a hidden secret, also so many terms i didnt know about space (mainly cause i can barely speak english) so it causes me to go search for terms or words on the cambridge dictionary, thanks for this piece of art Namtao 🦀

Found this two days ago, I am well into S3, just came back here to encourage everyone to listen to this. Wonderful story, very well written, asking all the good questions, with atmosphere and feels galore, and an excellent production. I think the algoritm picked it up for me via a Dad (Nathan) connection/suggestion somewhere. It makes me very happy that there are plenty more seasons. Thank you for this lovely experience. This podcast is intriguing so far. I’m still not sold on it, but I’ve made it most of the way through season 1 and haven’t fallen off yet! I love the music though and looked at your other content. Thank you so much! Funny story, I created this first season to showcase my music - but almost immediately I realised I had something extremely special! I burned through my backlog by season 3 or so, and now I write music weekly just for the show! This season one I wish I had called Season Zero, as by season 2 I had figured out the correct format for the show - longer episodes and proper plot planning. I'd love if you would listen through season 2, it gives you a much better idea of what the rest of the show is going to be like! Thanks for commenting, I'd love to hear more about how you get on with it 🙂

You're very kind! The reason is that this is a podcast, and so people tend to listen on spotify, itunes, or wherever they get their podcasts! Honestly, it's a nicer experience than youtube, for audio! The first two seasons I made this fun terminal videos for, the rest (I'm up to season 8 so far, no sign of stopping!) are just audio. So maybe stay with youtube until season 3, then chose your audio platform? Or stay, whatever! :-)

(double checking the links on episodes ive watched, don't mind me) the Google Play one leads to a dead link("We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server.")(they prolly changed stuff around in these 3 years, idk a new link that could replace it) (likely also broken on the rest of episodes that use the same link)

@@Namtao Maybe run some social media promotion. In fact you don't need to really "promote" it! Just put it in the way of people and they will pour sharing it. No one looked at this concept from the viewpoint of the machine alone. Even the treatment is so telling. Great work!

As a kid I didn't understand Cowboy Bebop on Cartoon Network but thankfully I'm able to watch now and finally completely appreciate the whole show - still haven't finished the season yet. I just recently watched the satellite episode with Ed and I was like wait... that perfectly fits the show haha. Oh I love Firefly! Seen Portal... 17776 - oh that looks interesting! I LOVE hearing how people react to the plots that arise in the show, I very quickly realised I was writing a mental health podcast framed within a scifi story - there's lots of topics that resonate with folks! I didn't dig CB on Netflix, did you watch it? I was kinda confused how they just re-hashed the same plot lines. I should give it a go. Do you play tabletop games? Orbital Blues was published earlier this year, and is a cowboy bebop - style RPG, I've run it 3 times now, and everyone loved playing!

I don't know if anyone will see this but I have a question that is bugging the shit out of me. I just started season 1, about six episodes in now, and I keep wondering why is it that every time Seth plays a recording of something all you hear is synthesizer music?

It could be two reasons: 1. Seth doesn't understand music, and thinks it's a signal of some sort that only a human can understand (and if you think about it, that's true) 2. I really like writing music :-)
