Lost Lecture Video Parts 3, 4, and 5 discuss Corum's experiments with the Tesla coil, Ball Lightning, and RF power.
Dr. Corum taught and conducted research in electromagnetics, antennas, RF telecommunications, astrophysics (radio astronomy), mathematics (tensors and differential geometry) and relativistic electrodynamics for 17 years in academia before turning to private industry.
He was an Electronic Engineer for the National Security Agency and a Researcher at the Ohio State Radio Observatory. He was a tenured Associate Professor on the faculty at West Virginia University (where he was the principal thesis advisor to a dozen Masters and Ph.D. candidates), a Professor at The Ohio Institute of Technology, and a Senior Scientist at the Battelle Institute in Columbus, Ohio.
He served as Chief Scientist at Scientific Applications and Research Associates, Inc., in Huntington Beach, CA, and as the Chief Scientist for the Institute for Software Research, in Fairmont, WV. Currently, he is Chief Technical Officer for CPG Technologies. Collectively, he has received over a dozen awards for excellence in teaching and outstanding research from these institutions.
Dr. Corum returned to former "Ohio Institute of Technology" for one last lecture in 2004.

Pretty silly to say this is a “Lost Tesla Lecture” when you’re showing it on RU-vid!

I have the only copy of this lecture on VHS, I converted it to digital format and shared with the world you are welcome.

@@sparkstarter Thank you for taking the time to post these lectures. I’d say that the Corums never built any Tesla coil magnifiers & from what I’ve seen here, there’s nothing of any significant value in the 4 lectures you posted. There’s a good deal of what I would call pseudoscience, and there hasn’t been anything of value resulting from a Tesla magnifier used as a transmitter. If I am wrong, please let me hear your arguments. Thank-you!

@@williamfox8795 Ah yeah, you're wrong... James Corum got his PhD from Ohio State he studied under John Kraus inventor of "Big Ear" Radio Telescope. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_D._Kraus While working at Battelle he designed and built a large Tesla Coil to do RF power experiments, images of this coil are shown in this video. When research was complete, Battelle donated the coil to Ohio State University. You can see the coil operate if you tour the lab. professionals.engineering.osu.edu/site-programs/high-voltage-engineering-laboratory This video along with the other 3 videos wasn't about "Tesla Magnifier" it was about Tesla's life, his credentials, and the various experiments Corum did with the coils regarding modeling Tesla coils and ball lightning experiments. From your comment it almost sounds like you didn't watch the videos...

@@sparkstarter Dr. Corum must not have studied Tesla’s Colorado Springs notes to any degree, because he’s got the details wrong about the extra coil that Tesla used on his magnifier. The good doctor writes down a lot of fancy equations, but there’s not much practical value. Looks like he did build a large Tesla coil, but so did the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, Serbia 🇷🇸 but both only produce wimpy sparks⚡️ indicating that they are not well tuned or designed or both. Take a look at Greg Leyh’s 40’ tall Tesla coil, or amateurs Kevin Eldridge’s the BIGGG Tesla coil of Oklahoma, Ed Wingate’s Magnifier in Rochester, NY or Roger Smith’s DC resonant TC. They all discharge thick, white hot sparks, and have contributed orders of magnitude more knowledge than the Corums have.

@@williamfox8795 say what...? I'm familiar with most of the large coils and coil builders you mentioned... they are all derivatives of Tesla's coil in the 1890s, including Corum's coil. However, Corum worked on a bunch of RF projects and he tried to apply some transmission line models to Tesla coils. Check Corum out on google scholar tons of legit docs... scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=7%2C36&q=%22James+F.+Corum%22&btnG=&oq=Jame Trying doing that with other "coilers"...
