For 15 years now, Mariner has been working together with Jaume Espí, a renowned Valencian sculptor, who specializes in cast bronze sculpture using the lost-wax technique.
To explain it briefly, this very ancient technique was already used in Greece in the Sixth and Fifth Century BC. Bronze figures are obtained through the use of a mould made from a model, usually modelled in wax, in which the liquid bronze is poured into before breaking it once it has cooled down.
