This just shows what a master manipulator he was. He seems charming, friendly, joking around, even gallantly brushing her hair from her face. He seems just lovely doesn’t he? I have seen many interviews where he is the same, very articulate and extremely intelligent. All of that is used to manipulate everyone in his life, including his own mum. Imagine being his mum and finding out what he had done after he had lied to her face and said he was innocent. I feel so bad for her, he is still her child, but look at what he has done. The drugs are no excuse for his behaviour, whatever came out later was already in his brain, the drugs just allowed him to not care. Whether or not something happened to him as a child we will never know, if it did I feel sad for him of course. But he should have had help if that’s the case. He has ruined so many lives, not least his poor victims who will suffer forever, along with his innocent family and band mates. And his own life has gone down the shithole, he will forever be known as one of the most disgusting perverts ever known. What a legacy to leave behind. For more than one reason, I am glad he had no children of his own to abuse, which is what he wanted. Hopefully he is sterile and no sane female will ever reproduce with this cretin, as that baby would be removed from her immediately by CPS.
His mum was complacent with his child abuse and ignored the letter about it sent to her by his ex. He was a fairly creepy guy outside the interviews, putting off many people including his band members. And I'm pretty sure he's high in this interview, judging by how he can't stop moving
I wanna say he was abused as a child not even to put religion on blast but his step dad was a man of God and I guess having that shit shove down his throat must've really left him scar and damage. There a interview with him saying he became an atheist. So definitely his father is definitely the root of his evil unfortunately he wasn't strong enough to conquered and cave in.

I think this case should be used as teaching material for young grownups in school to really root the consept of "dont judge a book by its cover" into their minds.
I really wanted to spread my opinion after watching some of these interviews and reading comments. I was a big lostprophets fan, the songs are amazing. And people who are saying they were shit and that type of music is shit because of Ian is just ridiculous and people saying that the rest of the band are horrible is completely wrong too. Someone even said if you were a fan of lostprophets or a fan of Ian you were just as much to blame as Ian which is completely disgusting for somebody to say. To me before everything came out I thought Ian was a great fun loving guy I have met him too but clearly don't judge a book by its cover and that teaches everyone a valuble lesson but people are coming out with the most ridiculous things that are just stupid. He manipulated everyone from his closest friends and family to his fans. Them other girls involved were clearly just as deranged too. If someone put a lostprophets song on and you didn't know it was Ian singing you wouldn't say it was shit and your only saying he looks creepy and weird because of what you've learnt when the real truth is on this video he seemed lovely. At the end of the day his master plan failed and he's thrown away his whole life with what he has done and he can think about that every day whilst he rots in prison and has to think he is going to be a wrinkly weak old man when he gets out.
He's a very difficult figure to get your head around. I believe his drug problem is a symptom of his awful mental affliction and not the cause of it. An attempt to escape the feelings he has which in fact brought them to the surface in the most horrific way. I wonder if he truly feels guilty for what he's done or has repressed his feelings for so long he doesn't think himself part of or responsible to society. I'd love to see a prison interview with him but we don't have such luxuries this side of the pond.
Once upon a time I also enjoyed their music but blaming other people, who had no idea what was going on behind the scenes, is absurd and disgusting. The only ones to blame is Ian himself and the women involved. Knowing the criminal justice system in the UK very well I would be suprised if he managed to avoid being shanked in prison.
He started looking creepy to me about the time of Liberation Transmission, i got this creepy vibe off him so I stopped listening to them. Then he turned out to be a creep lol.

@@jackhamilton9604 On "whodatedwho" for a while, the comment section on the page about Ian was full of accusations and rumours dating back to around 2008. I was shocked looking at it after the news broke, seeing it was all somewhat of an open secret. Needless to say it isn't there now, but it was unreal what people were talking about on there for years.

He will very likely be on a wing - if not a prison - entirely made up of "vulnerable prisoners"; this wing is for child-lovers & r@pists. Usually, pedophiles are raped throughout their childhood. This doesn't excuse his absolutely atrocious actions however, it makes you wonder what trauma he went through. Honestly, I think pedophiles should get therapy. Almost always they've had traumatic experiences. It's a crying shame what Watkins became. Ian was an incredibly talented person. What a waste.

People clearly don't understand how a psychopaths mind works. Ian brushing the girls hair out of her face is very calculated, they are very aware of how a persons mind works. Don't forget, he manipulated those women for his pleasure. I don't think the band is innocent as well, they knew but kept silent so they can collect their paychecks.
That isn't the definition of weird. He never once came across as weird or "off". He was always very self assured, confident and comfortable with who he is. Just traits of confidence, not weirdness. And he's engaging in the topics in this conversation as it is an interview..

Actually It's the recording company that disabled comments to stop people spamming the comments with it and Look I think we can all just say Lostprophets were and are a great band, there music is amazing and they were outstanding live but if these allegations are correct then I have no time for them I really do hope he is innocent and I guess we have yet to see. My thoughts go out to any victims and if this is true I really do hope Ian goes to jail for a long time.
Well if he is found not guilty then they will be fine but if he is found guilty the only way they can continue is to get a new lead singer and lyricist. For a start he will get at least ten years in jail so that is their only option.
35 years apparently they were trying to get rid of him and get new singer because of other behaviour related to drugs. It was them that reported the drugs that got him caught on the abuse due to material videos found but his girl friend joane reported it 8 times and provided evidence they did nothing
