The mysticism of Lórien is unreal. It feels like a real place, with a real atmosphere of holiness and spirituality within nature, feels as if there were real elves singing these songs because something so beautiful and noble can't be expresed humans. I feel it everytime I watch the films. :)
TheMajin7 lothlorien signifies a monastery, you should delve deeper into the lord of the rings and i mean get the real meaning from the author himself.

who says there were no elves in real life?they are are there even if you don't see them, i'm not joking here, its just that they are not like dwarves, small elf with pointed hat and shoes,or nymph that looks like a butterfly.They are royals supernatural beings that dwells in the unexplored/mystic mountains, 7ft above in height,the highest spiritual beings ( on earth, responsible for the balance of nature ,other elementals answer to them)very few people all over the world can see them and you just cant approach them even if you have given the chance to see them.perhaps the author (tolkien) had the idea about their existence,so he included them in his story.they are real, im telling you.they are called by " devas of the mountain" of people who aware of their existence .Others called them "Gods and Goddesses".( because they look like one )Some writings were not just a product of writer's imagination you know.Its up to you if you'r going to believe my statement,but its true.If you think fairies and dwarves and alike are just a product of child's imagination, well then probably,well you wouldn't believe what was written here. thanks.
Liza Buena Cruzat I don’t know how you know about physical features of the elven beings, or if you are even serious in that, but I can tell you you hit the spot there. We call them fairies but they look almost exactly like Tolkien’s elfs. They are however not nice, atleast not to normal ppl like me and you. They are proud and arrogant.
The Lament for Gandalf part always makes my heart ache because in Sindarin they're lamenting the fall of "a great light", but in the chorus underneath everything, in Quenya the ancient language of the Elves, they're lamenting the impending loss of their land, either to Sauron or to the ravages of Time.
I literally just found out that this soundtrack actually had real meaning other than sounding epic. Insane how detailed these movies are, even 15 years later they are still supreme.
I've probably watched LotR around 20 times and I didn't know this until today. My mind is blown rn. There is such a deep love for detail in these movies. I will cherish the LotR trilogy and of course all of Tolkien's legendarium until I perish from this earth.

We do not know when the events happened where Gandalf slew the Balrog on the high peek of the lowest dungeon but he did in fact die so their lament is proper albeit they may not know when. Elves have foresight so their grief would not be genuine if they didn't see his death, once more a lament does not need to be necessarily for someone who died but someone who is suffering as they said "he fell into shadow and fire." So they are lamenting his fall and eventual death. You feel like a idiot yet?

i'm not saying Morgoth couldn't beat Mithrandir, all i'm saying is Gandalf was awesome too, if you want someone who could beat down Morgoth, try Tulkas. (and I am currently in the process of reading the Silmarrilion, although I have done what many people would consider to be an unhealthy amount of research on Tolkien world in general)

The choir in this score is absolutely stunning, the languages work incredibly well with the instruments and the lament for gandalf is very chilling. Superb work by Howard Shore, wish I could find a live performance.

"Our love for this land is deeper than the deeps of the sea" Is this possibly referencing some elves not wanting to sail to Valinor out of love for Middle Earth, but knowing they have to or else they'll fade?
Well I think, since frodo carries the one ring, the elves know it would cause a terrible amount of destruction in the lands of lothlorien(with reference to the scene of Galadriel and Frodo)so maybe that's why they're quoting that phrase, to express their love as well as concern for their beloved land.
I think at the Point where Most elves travel to Valinor and leave middle earth for the Humans they only can live forever in Valinor idk if someone get my Point...

When I hear this I think of the Silmarilion and all the things the elves went through during the age of the trees and the First and Second ages of the sun.

I've been listening to ASMR videos for hours in a row and nothing gives me chills/tingles/goosebumps down my entire spine and legs like this. It's so melodic. Thanks for Tolkien who really understood the beauty of language and sounds. This makes me so happy and also wanting to cry at once.

It seems like basically a more elegant way of saying "What the heck are you doing bringing that thing here?! Any harm that comes of it is on you. We will do whatever we can to protect our lands, so don't mess with us!"
This music is so hauntingly beautiful!! We used this as our inspiration for our LotR song based on Galadriel called LORIEN. Our song is entirely different in style, but was definitely influenced by this timeless soundtrack!
The depth of these movies... Absolutely incredible. Even the themes have such a depth that they narrate the story/feeling of the character for whom they've been written in his/her own language. Nothing was ever done to be done in this trilogy.

This Movie and Music were inspired by God and his grace, which many of you can feel. Those who have Holy Spirit in them ( they dont sin carlessly and are even a little bit good ) can feel it inside them. The less you sin, the stronger Holy Spirit is and it more resonates with you.

This music is so deep, so enchanting and magic that I when I close my eyes and listen to it my soul and spirit wanders beneath the mellyn of Lothlorien.
This is the nexus of all my fantasy fiction inspiration as a child. The Lorien elves were so mysterious and dangerous, but giving the party respite from the orcs was so welcomed at that point in the movie/books. Howard Shore is brilliant.
Everywhere I look, people are saying the lyrics are different. But I've watched this video since it came out, and I've heard these lyrics in the song. The other lyrics don't make sense.... They don't even sound like that's what is being sung. The entirety of the LotR soundtrack is truly a masterpiece. The movies themselves are masterpiece too. Tolkien was a genius is creating Middle Earth... The fact that he built whole worlds and wrote languages for the different races, and even wrote variations on those languages, is just incredible.

Indeed, and if they are ever used, they have a chance of surviving. I mean, I've heard it said that Esperanto failed to survive as a language because it had no mythology. Their was no point of reference in the Esperanto culture.

3:21 that's the saddest thing I've heard or read in all of Tolkien. He didn't die and his spirit went to Valinor, I think. He died and left the entire world and none other than Eru Iluvatar sent him back to life. I love Theoden, but I love Gandalf a little more. Watching Gandalf let go and chase Balrog and fight him to the death was epic.

These words AND the reaction of Galadriel and Celeborn to the news of Gandalf's death....let's put it this way, they knew they were in big trouble, yet they continued on with the quest. Gandalf is my favorite character. Not only did he serve the Valar without straying or quitting, but he also loved the Peoples of Middle-earth.

Years ago, a lady used this image on her music thesis. She published it to RU-vid. It was eventually erased. Because I did not know elvish, I did not know the words. But it sounded so pretty. The only bit I remember was her singing "Galadriel, Galadriel" (twice). I believe it was a bridge of some kind. Well I cannot find it. And I loved that song. :( I love the music of the elves. It is so pretty.
