What reminds me of post 10: - a trusty rake - amazing boots - light reflecting jacket - badass raking skills - big brain knowledge about drainage system - rain drop ASMR
I sure hope this guy is monetized, he absolutely deserves some $ for his efforts, both the actual drainage maintenance AND providing the content of it for us all to watch. Keep up the noble work post 10!
Ikr? I took a duece that clogged my toilet once and these MFers drain entire streets. Might want to look at replacing my toilet with a drain and culvert leading right into my neighbors lawn
It’s so nice seeing the people who slow down, aware that you are fixing the drains but disappointing seeing the people that just don’t care and run by you at full speed soaking you time and time again. Know that there are people out there that appreciate what you do.
I to find this satisfying and I believe it’s because as a kid when it would rain I remember me and my mom will sit out on the porch and she would be drinking a hot cup of coffee and she would do this a lot when it rained I asked mom you like sitting out in the rain she says oh I just love the rain I watch it come down I just love the sound of the rain it sounds so peaceful so me and mom at that point always Set out on the porch When it would rain Fond memories
Finally, once again, some major league slurping, gurgling, whirlpools, bubbling and fast water surging for the drain. Leaves and debris have no chance against,"The Man With The Rake". Doing the Muck boot shuffle! This was great!!
Sagish Preman someone doing something willingly without pay out of enjoyment almost always does a better job than the people paid to do it. Especially union paid government workers.
@@SaturnTubes yeah. Now u understand y the govt does not wish to pay higher wages for its employees... they expect them to love their job n doesn't want to pay them too...

I cleaned a drain a few weeks ago that had So much leaves on top of it that the water was skipping the whole thing. Then there was a nice guy the had a rake and helped me clean it. And he went yeh I do a lot of this back home where I live. I swear man we need more people like this cause there’s not enough of us that do this.
Great work. I work for a highway dept myself and we usually use flat, square shovels for unclogging leaves/debris from catch basins. I’ve tried rakes like yours and always catch the grate with them making it aggravating, but depends on the style of the cover though I suppose. We scrape the grate pulling the leaves off the road at the same time cutting the stuck ones inside the grate openings allowing them to be washed through. Wonder if you’ve tried different tools? Maybe a video trying them out? There is 1000 ways to do the same thing-whatever you like to use to make it efficient for YOU.On another note some of the roads you save from flooding look like the town/city somehow forgot about 😂 whenever you see vegetation growing infront/ontop of the grate is unsettling to me. Somebody has obviously not been maintaining the drainage systems for a long long time. Proud to say my town has never allowed roads to get THAT flooded. Preventive maintenance goes a long way. Keep it up!
Seems that the leaves are the biggest culprit. If the municipality invested some man hours and tax dollars in to clearing the fallen leaves the drains could work more efficiently as they were designed to do. The leaves can be used/sold for mulch.
Just thinking that. My city has a big vacuum truck with a street schedule during the fall so residents can rake leaves into the street on designated days for removal.
Your videos inspired me to clean a clogged drain. Saddly it was clogged to deep in the drainage so I could unclog it. I went in the hole about arms deep, so I reported it to my local goverment and they cleaned it in like two weeks. Keep up the good work
This guy has saved car owners thousands of dollars in preventing a hydrostatic locked engine and he's so humble and passionate in doing so. Big vibes your way man!
@Jim Rossi Government both local and federal are run by politicians who would rather take money intended to fix broken infrastructure and give it to illegal aliens and welfare leeches because they think that it gets them future votes!
Even this Californian can't argue with that. You can stop sending your excess to the Central Coast, post 10! Those poor smoke eaters Down Under have priority!
@@DeezNuts-sx9jd no need to make it political. Plus is more the states havent managed their fire safety appropriately for the past 15 years. Either was more should be done.
Perfect timing! I needed a good drain video. Now that I see that drainage ditch, I agree with you that they should have those instead of the grates, especially in rural areas! Crazy planning! The best was the drain that didn't drain because of poor planning; the area around the drain was higher, so the water couldn't get to it! Ugh!🙃 Happy holidays to you and your family!🎄🎁🎅
We have vacuum trucks that are cleaning the sewers, but not seen them clean drains here. They’ll be floods coming . Thanks for that! Rox from California
Not really he just sets up the camera where the water comes out go back to drain and rake/film. When the water is drained go pick up the other camera. Of course he shouldn't leave the camera on the street alone but I dont see people going to colverts to steal a camera. It just takes more time. For editing since he'll have to do voice overs or maybe split screen
I don’t know what you do for a profession but you need to be the manager of Public Works you have an obvious passion and are willing to get your hands dirty good for you
I’ve been terrified of drains since I was a child. I always thought the drain in the swimming pool was going to suck me down! Seeing you stand on or near them gives me anxiety but I’m transfixed - I cannot stop watching!
It's amazing how fast the water disappears after you unclog the drain. And this is my favorite video's of you'res wish I could be in the rain with you.
A whole lot of stuff so right with these vids. The task itself is worthy, with a modest hero giving back - simple task done well. And great production values - fixed camera position, natural sounds (rain and water flow), no overdubbed soundtrack, explanatory inclusive (we not I) commentary that informs us without being supercilious. Thank you Post 10 - job well done.
Post10: **Clearing storm drains from leaves with rake.** Rake (at 6:20): **Gets clogged with leaves** Me (to rake): You've become the very thing you were sworn to destroy!!!
Happy Christmas post 10, to you and all your family and animals. Thank you SO MUCH for all your posts - what a fascinating person you are and what fascinating posts you put up. You really have made my year, watching all your 'antics' - I just LOVE them and the excitement as to what you will get 'up to' next. Take care and have a lovely Christmas - from me in North London.
This really highlights how desperate the condition of our country’s infrastructure is. Most of this is all from WW2 era economic & industrial boom. Hasn’t been touched essentially since. Yet, we continue to proclaim ourselves one of the richest and the best country on the planet. I wish we’d stop funding wars and start rebuilding our dilapidated country. Sad.
we still are the richest country it’s just the lousy government would rather not do basic maintenance. they would rather spend more money and build a new something than fix a old one.
Thanks for your work! And even more thanks go to you as a role model for all of us. With all my heart I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Just wondering if you ever report any of the broken pipes or sinkholes to the town? It's amazing the stuff you know about drains. I love that you do this in your free time just to be helpful.
Post 10 you're truly my hero. Not only do you help your community with what you do, but your videos help me to fall asleep as well 💜 Youre truly an angel However I do watch your vids when im not sleeping too because it's so satisfying watching the water drain away!
