If you have the GPS map pulled up, you don’t want the camera to stay on. Also, I’d bet if the parking sensor sees something, the camera will stay on. Otherwise, why would you want the reverse cam on when going forward?
I just got a 2024 Rogue Platinum, and I believe you can get the forward camera on the driver's dash but could be mistaken. I've only had it one week and am still learning the ins and outs.
Let's hope it's not one of the bad ones, federal government has an active investigation into the variable compression engine, turns out the technology of the variable compression goes bad and throws a rod through the engine block.... Well over 1/2 million plus have been effected.......
It’s a Nissan, I’ll never understand A. How this company stays afloat. B. How the hell do they continue to come up with another way to screw up. Really a 3cyl paired with a CVT, seemed like a good idea?
I have a 2017 rogue sport. My backup camera does the same thing. Disappears when putting in drive. Looks like they finally upgraded the camera quality.
But why do you need the 360 camera view on...when you're ready to GO forward? I think I'd use it most when backing into a space between cars, trying to keep it squarely in the painted lines.
There is currently an issue with the new sized screen. It blacks out on some SL and Premium models. Very frustrating. Mine went 3 hours after I left the dealership!!
The most annoying thing for me on the Rogue is the paddle shifters . This is not a race car, and they cover up the light controls on one side and the windshield wiper controls on the other side of the steering wheel.
I'd like to talk about the 'elephant in the room'. Or, should I say, 'mouse under the hood'? 1.5litre turbocharged 3cylinder, with a cvt There is absolutely no way I would ever ever ever buy one of these. Like, never ever! Not new, not used. Never! Anthony Fauci taught me to "Follow the science!"... The motor is too small, scientifically speaking.
@@SolaKnitez53 i wonder if he's talking about reliability, but you're right it's definitely not a race car. that said, according to the more professional auto journalist, they say this new Rogue is about the same or almost on par with the Toyota Rav4 hybrid. the new CR-V is supposed to be similar, so I'd imagine this new Rogue would be right in line. now i have personally been in a Rav4 and even drove one a few times, and i wasn't that impressed, but what was nice about it, was how zippy it felt around town. so based on my experience with that, the Rogue gets over 200hp, so if that felt zippy, then that's more than enough for the Rogue. people act like everything needs to be 5 seconds or 4, or else is slow, but not everybody needs or wants a BMW.
That 3 cylinder variable compression engine is under federal investigation for the engine blowing up with little milage on them. Seems the variable compression technology goes bad and the engine throws a rod through the block... At least 500 k are effected.....
The variable compression engine has me nervous also, they are adding alot of extra moving mechanical items to the motor. Anytime you add more moving pieces, you increase the chance of more things to wear out or replace when things go bad. I watched a video on I Do Cars tearing this VC motor down that had blown very early. By the video and the comments, alot from Nissan mechanics, there are problems. I think Ward's gave it the award because Nissan is the first to come out with this type of engine in mass production which in itself is quite a feat. To play it safe, I'd recommend to only own a vehicle with this motor while it is on warranty, the 4 cylinder Infiniti version is also having issues if you do a little Googling.
I had a 2023 rogue as a loaner while my Titan was getting worked on n it was pretty decent. Wasn’t really good in snow tho. Think some different tires would’ve helped
Hey, you have the 8 way power seat in that car. one of them raises and lowers the front part of the seat. Not talking about the height adjustment but the tilt of the front of the seat.
I'm looking at getting a 23 SL with convenience, has power passenger seat BUT am wondering if it goes up and down as well? The Honda CRV power passenger seat does not go up and down, just forwards and back and reclines.
Had one as a loaner while getting service done on my truck. Felt slower at full throttle than at 3/4. It actually has decent power but the CVT really sucks when you want to accelerate hard. Its actually slower at full throttle!
