Watch out for lottery scammers! And check out www.magicspoon.com/pleasantgreen for $5 off some healthy cereal! A scammer tried to make me think I won the lottery. So I decided to waste his time. Enjoy the adventure!
The amount of times this scammer has said “the FedEx delivery driver is going to deliver your package 📦 to you today” and “I swear to god almighty” is mind blowing
It's hilarious that they think someone would believe that FedEx is going to hand deliver $62,000 in a box lmao like come on, do these scammers seriously not understand how dumb that sounds? Like why wouldn't they just mail a check? Lmao
@@CleanupKrew7 You actually have to be careful because allot of these scams involve sending you a check usually for allot more than they said and ask you to please send back the extra Okay 😂😂 Of course the check will be accepted at your bank just in time for the fake check to bounce and cost you allot.
I was a customer service manager at Walmart for a few years. We as well as all cashiers receive actual training about these scams. All cashiers are entitled to refuse transactions if they think it's a scam.
Good. Front line awareness is awesome and sharing with your friends and relatives is important. So many people have been hurt by these scams, we need to make it normal when you pick up the phone, you need to be on guard.
I've had these scams tried on me too, and I drove the scammer OUT OF HIS MIND. By the end of our little conversation he was cursing like a sailor at me. It was such fun. =)
You have the best anti scammer videos out there, hands down. This time I was actually laughing out loud, I couldn't help it. The little musical notes playing in the back round makes these so good to watch.Entertainment and informative extraordinaire.
I've been teaching my family about scams to protect them, and my uncle actually kept a scammer busy on the phone for almost an hour just for fun. I'm kinda proud of him. It was a "help me grandpa, I'm in jail" call but he doesn't have kids.
"Help me grandpa, I'm in jail"... How is this even supposed to work? Doesn't it set off alarm bells for almost anyone when their grandkid suddenly has a heavy foreign accent and the bail bondsman wants gift cards and not something normal like a check?
@@joemck85 Well to be honest THAT Scam, many other Grandparent Scams and actually all Scams target elder People. Many unfortunately mentally degenerate over Time und become a lot more gullible and easier to manipulate.
Someone said something like,"A Scammer called my phone claiming to be my Grandson in financial trouble. I said to the Scammer,"I'm a 13 year old Virgin. Nice try, Scammer!" The Scammer hung up. Interesting. LOL! 🤣"
How Ben did this without laughing is beyond me. My ribs hurt. Surely, surely Jenkins hasn’t scammed anyone despite his incredible personality and business skills.
He stuck with his lie until the bitter end even when called out.. and with a story so full of holes it could hold no water.. Great work calling out these scams..
They probably can't speak good enough English to go off script, I bet it's the only English some of these scammers speak and they don't know what they are saying, or they use the old excuse of 'you rich, me poor'.
I once had a scammer call me. When he asked for my name, I told him it was Freddy Kruger (from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies). I then asked him if his information showed that I still live on Elm Street, and he said yes. I then said, "I am just asking, because living on Elm Street is a nightmare!" He was totally clueless...lol!!! 😂😂😂
What a COMPLETE MORON the guy claiming to be Jenkins IS!!!!! He blew a MASSIVE opportunity to turn his life around by earning an honest day's wages!!! Seeing as there is NO WAY IN HELL an English speaking company would make THAT MANY grammatical errors, the wording in the messages is another way you way you can tell automatically whether or not someone's trying to rip you off!!!!
@@Julia-uh4li - Julie Gill said, “an English-speaking company”. And she’s right, companies hire people who are proficient in grammar, spelling, form, proofreading, and professionalism to write for them.
Ngl, your transition to sponsors/ads is absolutely flawless. And thank you so much for these educational videos - it’s always so interesting to learn about some of the scams out there (and know what to look out for so we can warn our family/friends)
hahahahaha soooo funny scammers 🤣 i knew 1 man keep doing scams job ( he from Nigeria and now in Malaysia ),he keep going to church, fasting, keep praying with hope that God will help him to get more blessing + money, from his victim 😝😝😝WHAT THE HELL you are doing MAN OF GOD 🤣🤣🤣??????
@@shannondavies2405 And I don’t think you understand the word ‘only’. Even if most ‘Americans’ spell the word okay just as ok, most English speakers do not live in the USA. In other words just because most Americans spell it that way doesn’t mean most English speakers do.
I have watched your channel, and a couple of other anti-scammer channels for at least a year now. I was always hoping I would get one of these calls, so I could string them along and make a game of it. I finally got a call that was clearly an Indian call center a couple months ago. I could hear all the foreign chatter in the background, as he explained to me that he was from the IRS and saw that there was a significant error in my refund amount, and that he was calling me to correct the error and refund the money I deserved. He, of course had a heavily Indian accent, but his name was Mike. I tried, I really tried to quickly think of some persona and story like you guys do, but knowing it was a scammer, and I was at my work, and he actually asked if I was in front of my home computer or my work computer, I couldn't do it. I should have prepared for that kind of call, but only ever got fake bank calls on my cell phone, this was a new one. I tried to talk to him, but kept laughing as I tried to make something up, then I just gave up and hung up on him. Lesson learned. If you want to mess with them, have a cover story, a name, an occupation and all the rest prepared in advance, so you can be believable. I thought with my creativity I could make it up all on the fly, but that is wrong for most people, since you are not expecting the call. You must think like a spy and already have all that stuff thought out in advance and can reply without hesitation. I don't know if I have the time for that, but I'm glad people like you and the other anti-scammers do!!!
It's actually really easy lol but it's okay your next one will go better. You just have to be good at communication. But obviously lie your heart out 🤣
@@saigyl9149 i always thought ppl wld OBVIOUSLY realise the Lord/lady thing was a scam ... but was so surprised when I found out that a few ppl i met in UK actually fell for it AND still to this day believe it! I just did not have the heart to break their bubble...also met someone who still struggles to accept that Johnny Depp scam she fell for was not real. "Johnny's agent" was setting up a meet and greet with "full service" after (u know what I mean) ...for payment ... gift cards ofc ... but fortunately the person i met was not able to afford it. Many ppl told her its a scam but she really really believes JD is in love with her.
If their grammar is off it’s a scam. Considering that most scammers are from a foreign country meaning that English isn’t their first language. On top of that professionalism isn’t their main focus.
You’ve influenced me to scambait as well, on a much smaller scale lol but the satisfaction gained from showing them their IP address from grabify is amazing. I’ve also tried the tactic of asking them to admit it’s a scam when the convo comes close to an end and offer them $20 if they just admit it. I get blocked every single time at that point 😂😂😂
Ohh nice! If you upload vids I'll have to check them out. My one bit of advice would be to offer the 20 dollars first by saying something like "Hey, would you like 20 dollars?" and *then* you call them out as a scammer and offer them the 20 if they admit it. That way they haven't hung up on you before you've made the offer which it seems like they keep doing lol
@@hugokeys602 I don’t really seek out scammers, so it’s usually through fb messenger and they reach out to me. Or I see a “friend” post about a cash app giveaway so I’ll reach out cause I know someone’s taken over their account
@@HerculesMays it’s currently just for my pleasure but I share my results on fb with screenshots. I’ve been thinking about turning them into tik toks but I’m 29 and don’t have the best concept of content creation lol
This one has to be one of my favorites of yours. The last bit of "shut up and listen to me" reminds me of the unhinged Justin Roiland reading of a court transcript as both Rick and Morty.
I bet that's due to people letting their guard down and just writing off a couple hundred bucks as a bad experience, the scammers know this and that's how they get rich, also a hundred for you is probably equivalent to a thousand for them.
It be nice if we can hold phone companies, email providers, as well businesses accountable for not warning their customers enough or simply just hosting/providing scam numbers/communications
Are you serious? If that's the case, then we should start holding Walmart and Target accountable for selling the kitchen knives that people use to murder other people. 🤦🏽♂️
I am so glad that there are people who are willing to put up with the BS that these scammers try to pull. I would be using very bad language on those idiots and hanging up in a matter of seconds!
You are so patient. As always, thank you for these videos. No matter how silly these scams are, millions of people across the globe get taken by them annually. You continue to educate and inform people of so many comment tactics used by scammers.
I absolutely love that you were genuinely willing to give this person money if they did one simple thing to make the world a better place… You of most people seem to be the most forgiving in terms of offering scammers a chance at redemption and I really admire that of you.
He's way too nice lol I remember a long time ago, there used to be Chinese internet girlfriend scammers (this was back in 2001) that would pretend to be your girlfriend and would lead you on about meeting up with you to do gf/bf stuff. My brother absolutely trolled her to all hell (this is before anyone called it trolling) and would just relentlessly make jokes about her accented English and would crack jokes about China being a shithole. At one point he even talked to her in a terrible Chinese accent and would lead her on but never gave her any personal info or money lol
Good videos! Thank you brother for bringing the awareness upon these scams. By the way, I noticed you use quite a few references to Ut in some of your videos. From The Beehive perhaps? Lol. I know the areas of the addresses as I live in N. Ut.
Always so reassuring when people insist on telling me they're not running a scam but are in fact totally legit! They never have a back up plan, or the ability to make up a reasonable explanation.
He is like to Paul Harvey on RU-vid. One minute you are listening to a scam half a world away, and the next you are suddenly hungry for Magic Spoon cereal and don't know why. Mrs. Dover needs to keep an eye on this slick guy.
I was interested in trying the cereal. It looks good. Unfortunately, I cannot justify spending $10 on a box of cereal. Max I would be willing to spend is about $5 per box.
Could you imagine the store employee being like “mm it’s probably a scam” & then you say “well he swears to god almighty” & the employee is like “ok nice, go ahead” lmfao
I get these lottery winnings all the time or some dying person is contacting me to inherit their wealth or I can claim some special benefits for US American citizens. When I tell them I’m in Germany the whole thing is all of a sudden international. You really made fun of this guy - thank you for sharing this, it was hilarious!
Hi. I got scammed by the same sort of scam in 2021. It was supposedly from an agent from the Publishing Clearance House. I'm over it now, but I'm more careful when I get Facebook friends requests. You do great work. Keep up the good work.
For what it’s worth, I tried Magic Spoon, and while the flavour (yes, I’m in Canada) is pretty tasty and on point, the cereal itself leaves the gnarliest texture/film in your mouth, and takes like ten minutes to even just get everything out of your teeth unless you brush like RIGHT after eating, which even still ruins that experience somehow haha 😂 All in all, wasn’t worth it when you can ultimately just cut down the amount of cereal you eat.
Yeah I haven’t read much good about it. It’s still full of weird ingredients, maybe they aren’t as fake as in some regular cereals, but there are still much better and cheaper choices.
I really enjoy your videos because they’re so well done. Thank you for the work that you’re doing and not only dealing with the scammers but providing us with this information so we can learn to protect ourselves. Thank you and God bless.
These scammers repeat the same lies over and over enough that they started to believe in them. There is no doubt in his mind that he is not scamming you.
I get these all the time. I just tell them I already done it, but now they want to know who the agent is and how much I give them lol. I know I had one yesterday who admittted to me that the agents are fake lol....I just love it
