Midnight Blue was written by Lou Gramm and was the third track and lead single on Ready or Not, Lou Gramm's debut solo studio album, released in February 1987. Just Between You and Me peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 1 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
