Its filmed in front of a live audience in London. British etiquette dictates that you crescendo your laugh down, faster the lower your income. It leads to laughs stopping quicker and therefore increased audience enjoyment. Its a good system, known at the British Dress Circle Laugh Length.

Very telling that she referenced Anita Hill as a great feminist. Anita Hill is a nasty liar who stabbed her good friend Clarence Thomas in the back after she was repeatedly hired by him (at her request) across multiple of his job changes. She was a frequent guest in Clarence Thomas's home and best friends with his wife right up until the very day she testified at his confirmation hearing that he was a terrible person. She has had ZERO impact on SA laws in the US

Well, not to 'hose down your parade' because I enjoyed her but a comic making fun of themselves (the term we use is self-effacing) is pretty much what comics do. In fact, it's so common that according to the latest Funk + Wagnal encyclopedia reports that 98.3% of Comedians are self-effacing. It's an amazing number that a little research actually showed the names of the 2 stand up Comics who are NOT Self-Effacing. They are Bill Maher and Stephen Colbert.
