Its a regular road-legal F40 modified to look like the Competizione model. Both the LM and Competizione lack the pop-up headlights, those are only present in the "base" model. It's probably some body kit along with OZ racing wheels.
Victor K Actually, there are only 19 examples of this F40 LM in the world, a racing car built for Le Mans. It is much lighter and far more powerful than a standard F40. In January 2018, one went on sale for $6.1 million. It cannot be compared to most 'regular' supercars you see in Geneva.
I have seen some of the rarest supercars in the world in geneva, given they were in a warehouse. I would be interested seeing one but many people don't care. It's a special car amongst other brash items for them.
A unjustifiably hyped car, that runs on uranium and lignite at a single-digit effectiveness, is not just dirty and uneconomic, it is unethical! Period!
LCdrDerrick = A unjustifiably hyped person, that runs on trash talk and stupidity at a single-digit IQ, he is not just dirty and poor, he is trash! Period!
Yeah, the ideological drilled Musk (and certainly Steve Jobs) fanboy! Am I right? Yes I am. Boy, every powerstation only delivers current at about 30% efficiency and I haven't spoken of transmission, braid and charging losses. Coal and urianium mining (and fracking) are more of a mess today, than the oil ever was and I haven't spoken from radwaste repository issues yet. Then I haven't spoken of the poor and degrading batteries, the need to additonally heat them and the car half of the year. Poor bugger, your ancestors believed in what the priest has told 'em and you believe in what media and socalled 'scientist are drilling you to believe, substituting integrity, personality and intellect with ideolgical patterns. Am I right? The Tesla is the biggest mess thinkable, even the later steam lokomotives have been more efficient.
Dude, I live in Switzerland and for us it's really normal to see all kinds of sports cars here and that's why some of us are just used to it, well I gotta admit I still look on em, but that's because I'm a car enthusiast.
Man I laughed so hard on your comment. Was thinking the same, though.. But the registration plate (with the U at the end) is from a dealership, so it's not their car basically
Most beautiful car ever made. It's from 1987 but the design was so way ahead of it's time that it still looks as it's released today. Visited the Ferrari 70 years exposition last year and I stayed more than an hour with the F40, I never get tired watching (admiring) it.
@James Tudor Well, the McLaren F1 WON the 1995 LeMans 24 Hour race. First time trying no less. Against LeMans endurance sports prototypes which were designed for racing only. And in the 1995 and 1996 BPR GT racing series the F40 went up against the McLaren and was nowhere near in performance. Sorry, there's no better way to judge a car than its racing success. You also forgot technologically superior with state-of-the-art engineering ... yes Ferrari hasn't won LeMans since 1965 and still don't seem to have recovered since Ford arrived with the Ford GT40 in the late 60's and won 4 straight LeMans races. You clearly mentally still 12. For some reason you don't seem to be embarrassed by it. Word of advice. Don't ever talk like this in public if you value how people perceive you.
They'll rule the world in the future whether you want it or not. A Tesla P-100 eats a F40 alive in a drag race. Proves how much technology has improved the last 35 years.
Paul Allen yeah but that Tesla again the modern equivalent, let’s say Bugatti or Koenigsegg and see that technology leave that Tesla behind but they are the future I can’t deny that
This is no normal F40, this one has been modified (in my view, raped is a better word); it looks like dogshit. The front black lip, the rear spoiler the headlights, and the dodgy aftermarket wheels.
Hahaha observe the exhaust blaring in the face of that tesla at 1:22 as in, TAKE THAT electromobile, you can never replace the roar of a twin turbo V8.
Most good cars of the 20th century where Italian, America made like a dozen good cars tops and Germany made the naziwagen. However today Italy is having a hard time to keep up with Germany in relation to cars. Except Ferrari of course.
@@georgetsapekis Of course Italy is struggling today. Germany for years has been doing everything to hinder Italy. However, Germany will never come to have the culture, the passion, the genius and the class to be able to create iconic supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Pagani and Maserati.
when you wait around 6hrs for someone to leave just to get the perfect shot, and someone proud of their new 50" VIZIO walks by and thinks it's all about them!!
I had the poster on my wall...I had the burago model.....wish I had kept it ! (Parents car booted it !)....Amazing to think there are people rich enough to not give a fuck parking this anywhere?
For anyone interested, this is the F40 LM, built for racing at Le Mans, with 720hp (standard is 478hp) and much lighter. Only 19 were built. In January 2018 one was for sale in the U.K for $6.1 million! Here is a great article on the LM version: drivetribe.com/p/the-story-of-the-ferrari-f40-lm-DA_E5hjqShahtZwTu3BmDg?iid=byidhaa9REeHkgiNd8B0mg
Wouldn't matter how much money I had ..These and other 'supercars'.would I ever buy. Same applies to Lamborghini , Bugatti , McLaren etc... I'd look at an actually daily drivable Porsche 911 , BMW M Series , Mercedes AMG , Audi , or something ..To each his/her own and if you like them so be it ...Respect to anybody who does but I don't like any of this sort of stuff ..
Bruhhhhh, LOL that car in Switzerland, for those that don’t know, speeding tickets in Switzerland are no f’n joke. I’m well aware Germany isn’t far (I lived there) either way; insert funny story-Myself and a buddy were in Switzerland driving an S4 I had, he was used to Germany but hadn’t ever drove in Switzerland, so I let him...5 mins into driving he goes 30 km over the limit in a tunnel (tried to stop him), very shortly later (maybe 5 mins) we stop at a gas station...a real jovial cop walks over and has a chat with him. The fine is assessed through the church and looks at items like your tax history, family members in addition to the crimes fine itself...2300 francs (basically $2300, exchange rate at the time was practically 1:1) ended up coming out of the ATM at the gas station so he didn’t have to go to jail, maxed out two of his cards and I covered the rest. Not a bribe at all, just the way it works out there. Incredible car though
Why so much Tesla comments? You do know Elon Musk owns a collection of these cars even a McLaren F1 GTR. He has passion for both platforms but we all know Electric is our new direction? I’m enjoying both my C63S and M2 but know hybrid is whats coming
When I was younger I was Ferrari obsessed. Now that I'm older I couldn't care less about supercars. I'm just glad I wake up in the morning. Funny how that works.
