Living in Illinois in the 90's was a great time for music. Fig Dish, Triplefastaction, Local H, Loud Lucy, Veruca Salt, Urge Overkill. So much talent. I miss those days!
Unfortunately I never heard your music before. Thanks to the 'Tube, I'm hearing it now. It's good. Definitely 90's vibe, and that's a good thing. Love the guitar tone.
TheLaura21774 This song was in my head this morning at 4am. I heard the clock ticking and sang this song in my head. I forgot who sang it!! I had to literally google it. I forgot that I liked this gem!
Me too! I had a tape that had this right after Satellite by Dave Matthews. I didn’t know the name of the band and spent years looking for them after the internet became a thing. Love this song
@Caius Madison A little bit. This song and Misery by Soul Asylum are actually contemporaries though. They both came out in '95. Good uear 1995. I was a freshman in high school lol.
Someone played this tune on a jukebox back in 97 on my 1st date with my wife. I went out and bought the cd then a few years later my wife accidentally sold it in a garage sale. Couldn't remember it until I stumbled on it today. Glad I found this again.
I've been looking for this song since the first time I heard it back in like 1995 or 96. I always thought it was named "Time ticking on you!" The stores didn't know what song was it! Now, on June 9th 2023, I FINALLY found it! Let this 90s skater boy's music life continue!
This album was good. Ticking was an underrated 90’s song that came and went while songs like “my heart goes on” from Titanic were bleeding our ear drums.
Was visiting my sister in Chicago in August of '93. Went to the Asylum and saw this band. Ended up somehow going with them and the 77 luscious Babes for a night on the town. Remember bits and pieces, great time and staggered memories
timishere1925 haha. My rack is FUNtastic, Delicious and has stayed a steady float after all these years but my Husband has his hands on them so much I dont think they have time for a photo shoot. 💋🤙
Crazy thing, I have had parts of this song banging around in my head for years but I for the life of me couldn’t remember the band or song name; it was driving me nuts due to the fact that I always loved this song back in the heyday of the 90’s but again the title escaped me. Thanks to a post on facebook of a music chart from 1996 I was able to do some digging and finally found the song again! This is such a killer song! Love the whole sound and vibe! Glad to have found it again, it’s been too long!
I was obsessssssssed with Loud Lucy and Christian Lane. I ended up befriending him and his wife for a while. He was so much cooler than I could have ever imagined. My 18-year-old inner child was dying on the inside. Love this mix, btw. I actually thought RU-vid had compiled stuff I was already listening to so I clicked it, only to find a bunch of like minds. LOL.
I recorded this on my summer mix tape in 1996, not knowing who was singing. My car ate that tape about 2 years ago, it's still stuck in the player! Only tonight did I finally use the right search terms, and I'm so happy I found it!
Had this song on a cassette tape from long long ago, only discovered the artist and title today. RU-vid quality is far better than cassette quality I must say.
You don’t realize how much a song can get in your subconscious/mind until you’re 40 years old and singing “time ticking you wishing me well” every time you hear a ticking clock at 4am.
They played this song to death in 1996. I always liked it, but it got a little annoying after awhile. If I had known what music was going to become over the next 20+ years, however, I would have chosen to hear this on a permanent loop instead!
Man... I saw these guys years ago in Providence, R.I. at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel. They were the opener for Elastica. Strange bill if there ever was one...
Such nostalgia! I always liked this album! When the opened for Alanis in Memphis, Tn, everyone I know who went said they sucked and sounded really bad. I never knew if they really did or the Alanis fans just didn't like them, but whatever happened to them? Anyone know why they never did anything else?
I hated these pricks back when I was in a band sand playing the Chicago circuit and tryin' to get Kott or The Reader to notice me; but this songs smokes!
A few years ago I spent months looking for this song. All I could remember was the melody and I went through all the alternative artists from this time period until I found it
I had never heard of Loud Lucy before I bought this CD back in the 90's. It was in the used CD section and something told me to buy it. It's still one of my favorite CDs.
how do you like those apples. i wanted to say but my keyboard was getting stuck that day. that's what matt damon said to the kids at the bar. in goodwill hunting. that jacket looks like the one matt wore in the movie.
