okay genuinely really helped me calm down- I’m stuck in a 5-7 hour car ride and was getting overstimulated or something along those lines with the religious video my family is watching, the sun being a bitch in my eyes, and then the frustration from not being able to find a song to drown it all out and this playlist really helped
When it's your family's dog and it's not just food but constant lip-smacking and following you around out of some sort of sadism and when you complain it's all "he's a dog he doesn't understand!" and he's Mom's dog because she's the only person in the house he loves and even she's struggling to get him to listen to her commands and when you point out the danger of having a large dog who resorts to violence and doesn't listen to any command including "get off me" she does everything short of plugging her ears to not listen. Help me. also don't hit me with the "all dogs are good boys" narrative, this dog clearly isn't one and if he is he's sent to be my abuser's guardian angel, he has never given me or anyone else any shows of love, goodness or even caring and if your knee-jerk reaction is "oh well, what did you do to make him fear you?" treat him like he's an inherent angel while being given nothing back except what feels like intentional irritant first. so feel free to argue with the experiences of an infantilized adult trapped in a neighborhood where literally everyone is a gaslighter, even the kids. I've heard it all before.
