@@benstreehouse7782 Mine has 4 4050 horns and they are used for basketball games i think but used to be in the system until we got new speaker strobes.
I was obsessed with these videos alongside security system tests as a kid. I'm now an adult and I'm getting interested in them again, finally learning the model numbers of some of the products. 😊
My son absolutely loves your videos! He has autism and tends to fixate on things, we've watched all of your videos a million times by now. He made his own pull station from stuff laying around the house and mounted it to the wall lol.. just wanted to thank you, I'm sure this isn't the reason you posted these videos but you've made one kid extremely happy by doing so :-)
And the rest of the horns with the 2903 light plates on them in the basement too if you don’t have anymore use a diffrent simplex horn strobe or speaker strobe or horn only or strobe only
The Immortal Bitch same a kid pulled it and I was scared of them but they are awesome I want them but I have a 4030 I never used it I don't have a pull station
The fire alarms at my grade school (Fall '77 to Spring '86) used that same code 4-4 pattern. I remember it well. I remember a couple of Simplex 4050s and dual trumpet mechanical horns, both triangular and square. Those things used to spook me! lol Cool setup!
Wow! That Simplex 4030 is loud!!!! I just got an IBM 4030-1 and I haven't set it off yet so this video tells me how loud it is! By the way, great setup. :-)
Sounds like my elementary school back in the early 2000s. Place was built in 1959 and the alarms hadn't been updated for years. All simplex 4030s/4050s. They were EVERYWHERE, even in the tiny bathrooms. They'd go off without warning at some points, but that was usually when someone pulled it. They'd announce it for us aspies, which was a literal godsend
Germinating the seeds of the seeds is a loudest part of the process of the plant and the rest of the world is not the only thing that can be eaten in the past few years and it
I think fire alarms are cool! Here is a request for your next system test: can you use the white circular talking fire alarm used in the freshman wing of my high school (LVHS)?
Legendary Spyro I have a spectr alert advance. It was set to high volume continuous and my lanyard was hanging over the bg12 and my cat tried to get the lanyard but missed and pulled the alarm. It was 3am! It scared the poop outta me!!! 💩
If your panel uses Basic Stamp which runs on 9V-12V, then how does it output 24V DC without a relay on system tests that don't use AC alarms such as these?
This was one of the first few videos that inspired me to collect fire alarms for the last ~5 years and just a few months ago I revisited this video and noticed that by some crazy coincidence you can see in the background a sign that says St. Andrew’s Church. (Look at my name) I NEVER noticed that sign before then and it just so happened to be in the video that inspired my former hobby!
My old school had 4 Simplex 4030s throughout the building that went on continuous. Doing 8 fire drills a year with those things were not fun at all. With my anxiety with fire alarms at the time, the school tried to do everything to vanish my anxiety by surprising me with fire drills to the point where we were doing upwards of 12 drills per year
One thing I know about the middle school is that it has a simplex 4020 panel, also has both spectralert advances and classics, and some l series alarms
The freaking horn is freaking loud. It’s a bit more freaking annoying than a freaking goose freaking honking at you at freaking night while you freaking sleep! Or something…
In my school days, I was stuck with a fire alarm that was set in Code 3 mode. Well, actually in high school, I had an alarm bell that was set into Continuous mode (which I hated), but then in my senior year, the school had done renovation while we were on Spring Recess, and what did they do? They took away the alarm bell, and replaced it with one of those alarms that screech really badly, so I got stuck with Code 3 mode all over again (which I hated even more). To be honest...the alarm bell at my school was actually a bit quieter than the screeching alarm (I don't know why either).
You're one brave man, standing underneath that 4030 in the basement. You'd probably never catch me standing underneath that bastard! My high school had 4050s on 4050-80 light plates. The horns did code 3 but the lights didn't blink with the horn. They stayed on steady as if it was in continuous. Ever see that before?
Yes I have ima explain it after 7 years. As soon as the horn sounds, the strobe/light circuit is off. But when the horn is off, the strobe circuit is on. It turns on when the horn is off to charge the flash capacitor so when the strobe circuit is turned off when the horn comes on, it can flash. On a light, it has trouble with that setup, but on continuous, both circuits are on.
When you made the 4030 burp, that reminded me of when coffeeandsugar20 touched the vibrating plate on his 4051 and it made it sound lower pitched but sadly the video is gone.
I used to be like deadly afraid of fire alarms. I’m still kind of afraid but just because I hate unexpected loud noises but These videos have helped a lot, idk if it’s just me
Wow!! I really like the Simplex 4030 Horn in the basement! NewAge-ServerAlarm, I would really like to see one in person and i really LOVE your fire Alarms. Have a great 2016, 2017, and so forth!!!!
@@pleasedont7948 well, i do not think it is funny. Anything that has to do with safety equipment is serious. So i told him to shut up because it is serious. Newageserveralarm can do anything he wants because the alarms are his. But, the burping sound it is nothing to laugh about because it is immature to burp. And joking with fire alarms is not okay. Especially saying something that is inappropriate like burping. It is just the sound the 4030 made when he covered the projector with his hand. It wasn't a burp
also offical new age server alarm can you video your truck and inside of your garage or no. instead of annoying firealarms also does your house have a pool or no. a swimming pool i mean. can you video your truck please or no.
My 7th school I drew will have the same system, but with modifications. here are the modifications the 31t115 with the light in the auditorium (used to be one in the first drawing), the simplex 4030 is in the cafetorium and it is in the private walkway/stairway which is in the basement the second light strobe is in the basement while the third is on top of room 37 and there is a tiny horn in the horn panel, there are pull stations in the office, Room 25 which used to be the auditorium, and the employee management area.
From my very honest opinion, after all these years, the 4050s with or with out light plates are becoming one of my top favorite fire alarms along with the 9838 horn with the 2903 light plates.
I got to film an edwards adaptahorn that was AC powered like the simplex 4030 you had in your basement and it was LOUD!!! It was louder than the EST genesis fire alarms at my elementary school
