#bullwhip #whipcrack #outdoors Using my Victor Tella Indiana Jones 4 bullwhip! I have the perfect spot at my camp to crack this thing! And it echos for miles!
@@valoredramack9117 unfortunately the whip maker of mine passed away. But just go online and look up Kangaroo hide Indiana Jones bullwhip. There should be many sites. 🤘🏻
Thats because the majority of the bang from gunshots is the bullet breaking the sound barrier, the same is achived by the end of the whip which also manages to break the sound barrier when swung.
The puff of smoke that you see is actually water vapour. If the air is close to 100% humidity then the shockwave from the whip will momentarily cause water droplets to form. If you go out and crack whips just after it has rained, your whip should make lots of vapour puffs especially if it keeps hitting the ground in between cracks.
yeah that's the sound barrier being broken. pretty cool when you think about it. also makes it easy to understand why real sonic booms from fighter jets can blow out windows
That's my favorite part about whips. You're actually managing to move something so incredibly fast that it creates a sonic boom. I need to buy one, I'd love to get good at it
When I was a kid everyone had a cheap whip from Mexico. I went to the feed and saddlery shop and got myself a real one. I got pretty good with it until my dad got tired of listening to it and made me get rid of it. lol
First whip I had was a cheap one bought on Amazon. Then I was wondering why some of the types of cracks wouldn’t crack good. Until I bought this one. Kangaroo hide!
The thing that amused me in whip crack is that the sound it makes it's actually the tip of the whip reaching speed of sound. Kinda wild that with simple mechanical idea and a strength of a hand you can accelerate something to speed of sound.
I've seen a classic bullwhip, I've made a horrible one before. It was a little loud, you could tell it was a whip a distance away but it was anemic. I'm intimidated by whips, but this one and the way you handle it is amazing, it's so imposing
@@GlazeonthewickeR it's only the tip breaking the sound barrier, if you find that scary, can I safely assume you find planes breaking the sound barrier scary as well? There's literally nothing to be intimidated about, granted, it hurts like a motherfucker if the whip wraps around your neck, legs and back, but that's just the leather which isn't the part breaking the sound barrier so you won't get cut, just get a nasty welt
@Ajgsydodkdlclcjjs I think they do it on purpose. For some reason, God loves you very much, but he also really likes it when you suffer, preferably while thinking about him.
its crazy realizing that people used to get whipped like that the end of the whip travels faster than the speed of sound so holy shit that must have hurt a ton
