Still remember my sister having a big crush on him when she was in high school and always having to wait for my turn on the TV while she rewatched one of his old TV shows for the umpteenth time. Never thought he would become such a powerful presence in the Hong Kong film industry given every movie nowadays seems to have either him starring in it or his film production company involved but good on him, seems like a nice guy.
Ah your sister has good taste - Louis Koo is THE MAN!! He is certainly a big name in Hong Kong now - it's great to see he stuck with his HK roots and is doing what he can to keep the industry there going without mainland interference (as best as he can anyway)
I'm a big fan of LK but not all of his movies. I really respect him as a person and an actor. He is very dedicated to HK movie industry. A workaholic indeed.
@@AsianFilmFans really? but people only makes videos for their favourite actors and actresses... I personally didn't know him in his early years (1990s). I happened to watched his TVB drama Return of The Condor Hero 1995 by TVB in 2014! Since then I kept watching more of his dramas and movies. He can be very good with comedy too. In real life he is a bit too shy for his own good :-)
In 2019, at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic in Hong Kong, because of the incompetence of Lam, many elderly were forced to stand on line for hours, to receive masks. The SCMP reported that Mr. Koo donated thousands of masks to the underprivileged. It is precisely his kindness, generosity + love for his fellow Hong Kongers, more than his charming, good looks, that makes him a uber cool gent.
No not even close. He is selfless Pitt is selfish. He is night and day much bigger in his heart then Pitt ever will be! His charity work is huge to build 100 children's schools. Years ago Hollywood had legendary actors and actresses no more!
Because he is everywhere - its the tall poppy syndrome at play. People want to cut him down. Also, he is pretty much scandal free and the proper definition of a good guy, there is nothing bad about him, so people dont like that. Me personally? I think he is a legend!
