I remember in the 90s when he died and I felt so empty that he’d gone as his music always took me away to another realm and being a jazz pianist myself I knew what he was doing and felt every note driving home with cristal clear cut precision and dexterity to the point of disbelief. And yet here was a humble man who acted normal and never let fame go to his head , was not effected by his disabilities in any way or form a number 1 composer and performer and I want to say thanks for his inspiration gift to myself and on behalf of all other pianists who got the same wonderful inspirational gift from this brilliant gifted musician from France
Michel was not humble at all. You are projecting some fantasy on to his personality, he was in fact the complete opposite to what you said, read the accounts of his life.
This is just fantastic music! I can listen to it every day and it never gets boring. Thanks for sharing it. The bass fits Michel's piano playing so perfectly, it's surprising that they didn't make more music together!
