This song never fails to make me cry. The song is written about his mother who he was incredibly close to, he used to say she was his best friend. Unfortunately a few days after he released this he lost his sister as well. The line "i promised you id do this so all of this is all for you" comes from the fact that after one direction split up he was going to stop making music but she convinced him not to.
"Louis is pronounced as Lou-iee" He is really talented songwriter and music artists. He wrote this song for his mum who passed away in 2016 and then he lost his sister too. But we know he is strong human. You should definitely check more of his music...his album 'walls' have no skips.

Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song! It always brings tears to my eyes… every single time I listened to it since the day it came out I can’t help but start crying. Especially cause I KNOW how close Louis was to his mom, and his mom used to always tweet fans and share stories about Louis as a kid, so we kinda also knew her, she’s so so so sweet to everyone! An angel gone too soon.. Unfortunately a couple of days after this song was released one of his sisters also passed away.. He’s been through so much yet he never pities or feels sorry for himself. This song is about a tragic event but the lyrics are nothing but hopeful and positive! He’s so strong..

I just love this song and while it’s sad it has such a strong message of keep going and to not give up. I love Louis’s whole album Walls. And yes this was the official MV. Your title says Richard’s Bucket list which is also an official video but Louis used this song as a way to help this man Richard with a bucket list. Louis and his mom did a lot of charity together. I do recommend to check it out too. If not for a reaction then just for yourself. You’ll see what kind of person Louis is. No one can evoke emotions like Louis! He honed his craft as a lyricist having written on the majority of One Direction’s 3 out of 5 albums. I recommend that you react to each of the songs on his debut solo album in order. While his music is written from personal experience it is purposefully written to be relatable and uplifting (he hates to feel sorry for himself!) So the way you have embraced this song as your own is exactly what is intended!!! My only lament is that without industry backing this important song has not been able to have the reach it could have to massively benefit those who would need it. Also many in his fandom are too young to have experienced loss and will not fully understand the gift that is this song. This is the official music video to "two of us". The "two of us Richard's bucket list" is something else. That one is a heartwarming video he made when he went and met a 73 year old man named Richard who lost his wife because of cancer.
