Love the Diane with the different straps. Price point is more “reasonable “ considering the different looks you get. Plus the back pocket is really nice. It’s gorgeous. Thank you for this review.
I personally like the colour of the treated leather. Love the interior 😍 I really appreciate the multiple detachable straps that LV includes in their bags. I hope they continue doing it💕💕💕
I totally understand how you feel about the treated leather. When I was still quite new to LV, I checked the vachetta, whenever I saw a bag out in the wild.. probably back then, I wouldn’t have even known about the treated leather and it would have looked suspicious to me 😆 But it’s definitely a huge pro, that it is more carefree that way, so you can fully enjoy that bag 💕
That’s an excellent point, Mary. 🥰. It’s definitely more care free than the untreated vachetta. I think it’s worth the sacrifice to not have to worry about water stains.
@@dawnlovescouture2644 Hi Dawn, I got the same color as you they didn’t have the black, no mine open fine and closes very easy. I let my step son’s girlfriend borrow it I hope I’m not sorry for doing that. ????
It's such a beautiful bag🤩 great review! I just purchased the lv sologne bag because I can't justify the price of the Diane. Mind you, the prices for preloved are crazy as well. 😒 I paid double for the sologne, in the past 2 years some high demand vintage bags that are coming back are crazy in price now! 😳
Thank you! This is really just an updated Sologne. I was looking for the Sologne for a while and was never able to find one in really good condition. I’m not surprised that you paid a lot for it. Unfortunately, these vintage preloved bags that have been redone are selling very high. Then again, most preloved LV does.
Hi! Honestly, this would be my pick of the three. I had an original Saumur and the new version looks like a Coach Cassie to me. I think the PM East-West is very small. I love the Diane, it holds a good bit and it’s versatile, and a much better price.
I actually love this bag very much. I know exactly what you mean about vachette. Maybe we don’t get used it. But recently Louis Vuitton come out all same vachette leather. I’m a not big fan of fabric strap. I love shoulder strap more. Thank you so much for sharing darling 💕
Hi Irene! I wasn’t a fan of the fabric straps at all, but I have grown to like it on some bags. I prefer the shorter strap, but the webbed strap is comfortable sometimes. You can also attach whatever strap you choose since the straps are both removable, which is a nice feature.
Hi Dawn! This is my first time seeing the Diane! She's beautiful! I looked online, and only saw her with the light trim. Do you know if this style has ever been offered in the dark brown or black trim? Oh, I think she'd be gorgeous in the Damier Azur! How do you think a gold chain strap might look on this bag, both short and long? Also, is the closure strong? I do not yet own LV, and appreciate your videos and feedback! This is definitely a contender for me! I love the silhouette and size, plus the removable straps! Pretty and functional! TFS! Much love!
Thank you! 🥰. No, it’s only the treated trim like mine. I wish it came in black! Oh, it would look great in any of the other canvases! Maybe one day they will release it! I’m thinking about a thick chain strap on it, it would look great! I think it needs a thicker strap, so a long thin strip might be uncomfortable. The closure is strong, no problems with it! It’s very functional, I highly recommend it!
I thought about that. I usually use my Rosalie when I carry this bag and my mini Pochette. I don’t think I would use the light ones very often in this bag just in case.
I am very slim and petite and love the Diane bag, including it’s size and the color of the leather trim. I also dress very smartly and the bag compliments my total look. The smaller strap looks great too.
This is a great review. The funniest part for me though was when you put your nose spray in the bag. I’ve been addicted to the “bad” kind of nasal spray for over 40 years and I’m fine! 😉
Oooh Pam!!! We are kindred spirits! I drove to two stores last week because one didn’t have the spray, they only had the most, and I hate the mist! I even bought a backup!!! 😁
It’s a nice bag, fits all you need. The leather looks good on the video. And the buckle is suppose to look like it’s a working buckle, so it’s fine…we can overthink things.
This is a gorgeous bag! I can see what you mean about fake bags, I have thought that before too but still it will stay looking beautiful forever. I think because we are used to the actual vachetta. I would love to have this bag, once you are tired of it, send her down to Bammy!!! LMAOOOO I wonder if all the bags do that with the snap...I don't think anyone would notice that and if it doesn't bother you it is not a huge deal. I need that O case!! Send that to me too when you send my bag!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
LOL! Yota wants it all! 😂. I really love this bag, even more than I thought. I’m curious about the buckle, too. It’s not a deal breaker. I can live with it. I might get a decorative gold chain for it, but if I do I would use it with the short strap. The long strap doesn’t go with a chain in my opinion.
Thank you! I would rather have natural vachetta. I love the way it darkens over time, and I always say if it was supposed to stay pale they would have chosen a different leather. I really love this bag, it’s become one of my favorites. I love the size and the strap options. I definitely recommend it!
Yes, I love it! 💕. It’s one of my most used bags! I would have loved a leather crossbody strap with this. But, you can use any other strap with it from LV or from another brand. That’s one of the best features of a bag with detachable straps.
LV is prob using the treated leather due to the fact that people do not like the vachetta leather. I love watching the vachetta leather as it starts to patina but some people do not like the patina. I also think LV justifies their price increase providing 2 straps, but do we justify that price tag? We all have our own opinion. I’m not a fan of the fabric strap. I love your bag bag. It is beautiful and it is a classic, will never go out of style. Enjoy your videos 💕
Thanks, Sherri! 😘. I agree with you completely! I have always noticed that the fake bags don’t patina, that’s always been a giveaway that the bag isn’t authentic. I love the vachetta and how it looks with patina. I have always thought that if you really don’t like vachetta, some bags aren’t for you because LV chooses that leather for a reason. It’s supposed to darken. But, people complain and now some bags have this treated leather. It’s more carefree, but up close, to me it loses something. I like the webbed strap more than I thought I would, but I love the short strap.
@@user-od8qw7ti8k How is the bag “olddy” looking? The bag doesn’t look fake. I said that looking at the treated leather reminded me of the off color of some fake bags if you look at it closely. This is the treated leather LV is using now, probably because too many people complain about patina on the natural vachetta, which does what it is meant to do.
You think crossbody would be good for a person 5’ short and petite like me? Finding a shorter length crossbody is always an issue for me. They’re usually always too long.
It would probably fit you crossbody with no problem unless you have a larger chest. A lot of times people focus on height but the real measure is how it will go over the boobs. 🤗
@@kaylux7106 That’s a question better posed to someone at LV. I am not sure how weatherproof the reared leather is. I haven’t taken this out in the rain, and I don’t have any other bags that have it. In theory it should be, but I don’t want to say it is and have it not be.
There are many ways to tell. You can fold good information on how to spot fake LV on Fashionphile and Yoogi’s closet. As someone who has been buying LV for almost 25 years, I can tell by the feel of the canvas in many cases.
