I'm not sure yet. There are so many cleaning videos already on RU-vid and I find them terribly boring. They're not fun to film either. But I'm thinking about it.
The last time I seen that exact one was when I was little my godmother/aunt gave it to me as my very first LV I was around 7/8 she collected LV and that was when I fell in love with LV!

I have owned this little cutie Patootie. speedy HL for five years now i have two. I’ve done nothing to it except hold it and put my hand oil on handles holds an amazing amount of stuff is a good catchall put it in a tote then you grab the handles I would buy this over toiletries,/Pochette any day

I love this little goodie you hit a home run mine does not have the leather zipper pull anymore but the handles are spectacular they’re round and shiny with a beautiful patina. So many questions

Great find! I actually recently purchased the Toilet Pouch PM in the monogram eclipse! I bought it as a catch-all/clutch. I have a short video about it on my channel (sorry, I'm a total amateur at videos). I haven't been able to use it out in real life, but so far I really like it.

OMG! You’ve come over to the other side...tiny bags!😁 After a good cleaning and conditioning, the bag should look great. My mini has a date code leather tab on the inside between the handle grommets. Mine was made in 1992. Earlier ones had the date stamped on an inside seam. I picked up a monogram strap on Fashionphile, so I can wear it crossbody. You’ll be surprised how much you can actually fit in it. I love mine!
When you talk about a date code on an inside seam do you mean on a tab sewn to the seam? I don't see how the code could be stamped onto the fabric seam itself. I'm confused.
I’ve seen examples of the dates stamped on the inside seam of the body of the purse. Usually, those also have the white tag, like yours. I’ll see if I can find some more info for you.
I have one, I have one! I got it like 10 years ago is amazing condition for somewhere around $275. So glad I got it when I did!! I love it. Congrats on finding such a cool vintage one with the fabric tag!
You are lucky you got it when you did. I paid $510 with tax and shipping but most of them (in worse condition) start around $700 these days. I'm glad you got such a deal!

I would love a video on the history of your pre-date code bag! It would also be very interesting to see you do a before and after clean on the bag, listing products used and showing the steps. Last thought...you might also want to try and darken the add on pieces yourself before purchasing additional ones, that way you could match them to the existing vachetta. Great find! Can’t wait to see how you end up using it and styling it!💕👜
Hi! The reason why the chaps look crooked on each side is because I believe it came with a longer strap so over time it pulls that way. You can tell because there is tarnishing on each of the left side of your vachetta handles near where you can connect a strap. I have a HL that is in great condition with a strap and it’s like that too! I cleaned it up pretty well so it’s not too bad now. Also the zipper probably says “eclair” it is the original zipper pulls! Congrats on your purchase! I absolutely love my speedy HL. I even recently purchased another one and am going to have the vachetta replaced by LV! I am excited about it. The canvas is in perfect condition just the vachetta is destroyed so it’s going to be like new!
I was thinking the same thing about the dirt on that part of the handle, that someone had a strap on it. I've been doing some research and nothing I've seen indicates that it came with a strap but lots of people have been adding them. The zipper does say eclair! Congrats on the second one that's getting a facelift!

Yes, I saw that one when I was doing research on these mini bags today. My guess is that's a luggage strap because of the wider piece of canvas/rubber on the middle. I looked in one of my LV books that talks about the history of the Speedy and there's no strap pictured with the mini. I think one might have come with the Speedy 18...not sure.
I just purchased the exact same bag because it was made on my birth year of 1978. Wondering how many stitches you have on the leather side flaps? I have 3 on one side and 2 visible on the other side. All the other details on the bag are very consistent with authenticity but just that stitching issue. I know LV is particular with the consistent stitching but wonder if this is the same with very vintage items like this. Oh also the rivet inside the bag has LV that are not all pointing up or down- just all slanted etc. 🤔 Thanks and also this video was so helpful! 💕
I never knew this bag existed. It looks good with the additional bits and bobs you added: the strap and the tassel. Perhaps you could make a mini bag organiser to pad it out a little? Haha...that would be a tad tricky!

OMG Roxie with that bag is a cuteness over load. ! It’s perfect ! Although I don’t get the tiny bag obsession it is CUTE !especially with the tassel. A cosmetic bag would work although it would add to much weight for me . I am constantly going through my bags looking to eliminate extra weight . Will be curious to see what you can actually fit in there . Enjoy it , it looks in pristine shape ❤️
This bag is VERY lightweight. It weighs almost nothing. But I still understand about eliminating weight from a bag. I have back problems and sometimes any little thing I can unload from my bag helps.

Lovely purchase. Get the darker strap. Clean it up with baby wipes and a microfiber cloth, polish the hardware and it'll look stunning. Now I wish it was mine 😔
I would strongly recommend sending the bag in to get restored. They can replace the cowhide and add fresh new zipper and gold hardware, and make it look like new
I don't want it to look like new. From the research I did, it appears this bag is about 40 years old. It's an all original vintage LV and I want to keep it that way. Just needs a little cleaning.

Absolutely in love with that mini Speedy!!! Last spring (2018) thru summer I kept finding those for as low as apprx 400 to 500 BUT these days I can't find one for less than 700!!! I want one so bad! Yes, $700 seems to be about the minimum for them and in worse condition than mine. I scored mine on The Real Real with tax and shipping for $510. :) The last one they posted prior to mine was in the $700 range. This one was listed at $575 but with 20% off which took it down to $460!

The cost of having the vachetta replaced wouldn't be worth it to me. Plus I love a good, old-fashioned, vintage LV bag in original condition. The vachetta on this one is in great shape. Just needs a light cleaning. I haven't done a video on the price increase and don't plan to but I agree with you...not cool, especially the timing of it. Hug your dachshund(s) for me!
Because you asked.... At first I was a little unsure of the bag. The handles seems overpowering with the bag. But after you added the crossbody strap. It’s like the background music went “Ahhhhhhhhh” lol. It looked awesome. Perfect! Then the bag charm, was a very nice edition and completed the look. Congrats Autumn. I’m now going to go look on TRR to find my cute vintage find. I actually thought about you when I was scrolling through TRR website 3am this morning. I know you usually recommend them and I never shopped on there) So it was funny to see this kind of video today.

I have this same bag! Got it about 3 months ago. Mine has that musty old smell and needs a cleaning too. I would to see a video on vamping super vintage bags. I like the charcoal idea. Any Amazon favorite kind to put into it? I would love to see how to clean the zipper, etc. please do this video and link to the charcoal stuff to use for the smell. I haven’t used it and have been airing it out. But to no avail. Give Roxy a kiss for me!! I am a dog 🐶 lover and she looked divine with that arm candy. I have a fake one got so much compliments still holding strong been having it for years now like 5 or 6. The tossil for the zipper broke though alot people never knew they have a mini speedy enjoy yours my friend.

Autumn Beckman yes DE is also special order. I saw a few on ebay long time ago. Its so rare that ppl willing to pay over $1500 for the DE. I have at least 3 ppl offer to buy my mini speedy in red epi already (one of them offered $2k) but i think i will keep it for now
Pre date code would be bags that precede the 80s since that’s when they started. And correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the HL was around before the 80s. I have seen odd “made in” tags like when Saks sold LV. So it had a Saks and LV tag.
I was surprised to learn from one of my LV books that it was first released in 1978! The internet says date codes started in 1982 so that gives a 4 year window of pre date code mini Speedy bags. I've thought about adding a French Company and/or Saks bag to my collection. I need to look into those more.
Autumn Beckman no way! Omg. I wonder why they were discontinued. I like the HL over the nano. I’ve always tried to look for a speedy from the era miss Hepburn had hers. But I haven’t found one older than 1985. TFC LV items are less expensive than the Saks LV items. I saw a toiletry 26 on FF from Saks. It was in “meh” condition and it was close to 400. And now with the increase, a new 26 is $520. It’s crazy! They were selling for almost $700 before in good condition. Now? I’m sure they’ll be hitting the mid 7’s or low 8’s. This is insane.
