The St. Louis was designed as a beach bag. You turn it inside out and plop your wet bathing suit/towel, etc. onto the coated canvas and when you get home can wipe it down and turn it right side out again. For me it's strictly a Summer bag where as Neverful is more of a sturdy everyday bag. Still love the Goyard anyway.

This was such a great, informative video! I have seen sooo many review videos of the LV Neverful, but I loved the details you included, and you are the first person to note key details about tor Goyard tote like the fact that the canvas feels thinner and is thus floppier than the Neverful and more comparable in floppiness to the Neverful GM. Great video, Amanda! I love my LV Neverfull GM and use it for travel or for when I need a large tote, but have never had that real passion for the Neverfull MM bags that everyone else has had. I’ve seen too many Goyard corner issues similar to the Longchamp Le Pliage. It’s way too expensive to have those issues. At least LV doesn’t seem to have those issues. I’d choose the Neverful every time. Thanks for sharing!

I love the how your Neverfull GM’s canvas is soft and love the patina. I got this bag recently and the canvas is still a little stiff and the leather is so new looking. I can’t wait for that lived-in look. Great video! 💕

Omg I was in the grocery store today and a young lady in the pastry department love my bag i had on the Dior Blue book tote 👜 large one I do love my totes I have so much going on in my life wanted look stylish at all times I did recommend for her starter bag the neverfull GM i still have mines for years and it looks like new my bags are my babies after my 8 year old daughter thanks for sharing 🥰

Louis Vuitton bags are just so beautiful and of great quality. I own vintage LV bags made in the 90’s or early 2000s and they are still beautiful and holding up nicely.

Ohh I was considering Goyard, but now nope! I never liked LV neverfull. But I don’t want to have quality issues with Goyard and such high price point. I will stick to my Celine cabas phantom until I will decide what to buy next. Very helpful video. It is just shocking that these high end ‘luxury’ brands wanna charge ridiculous amounts of money for basically law quality and canvas. I hope we have reached a point where it is questionable whether ppl want to still pay for basically lack of quality. I think Chanel has hit that point.

Thanks So Much for this Video. I was considering the Goyard. I do have all three canvas prints in the neverfull. I’m glad I can put those funds towards a different bag. I love my GM in monogram & Damier Ebene, I do use my MM in Damier Azur. I do find that my gm monogram is a bit more soft than my mm azur. Have you found that to be the case as well???

I have both those bags in the GM size. My LV is in the monogram. I use them for travel. Goyard hands down (both need inserts) is awesome for travel. Very light. Down fall Goyards Customer Service is lacking any kind of consideration.

Both are Gorgeous bags, I do own the LV NVRFULL DE MM and Love it. The Goyard I think scares me...I wouldn't be able to handle the customer service with that response from them. I'm Team NEVERFULL... ONLY four the bag.🏵🌾🏵

When you buy an expensive item and have an issue with it, it’s all about the customer service to serve the customer who just paid thousands of dollars. I’ve heard Goyard has horrible customer service. You buy an expensive tote which is not good quality and they tell you , you are on your own. That doesn’t show a quality company and incredibility for the brand.

I just got the Goyard Artois and it’s so beautiful. I didn’t buy the St. Louis for the reason you mentioned, it’s too floppy. The Artois is structured and the handles are a bit longer. And a zipper !

There’s another comparison which is Goyard Artois to Neverfull. Similarly it holds up its structure and longer shoulder straps with zipper. Nonetheless i would still go Goyard, hand-painted with the infamous prints whereas LV monogram are prints on coated canvas and looks a bit dull in my opinion.

That is true that the St. Louis was originally tagged as a beach tote, but that's not really the case anymore. It's their most popular tote but I do agree the artois is great!
