The Netherlands is a water-rich country. A ditch is a dug waterway that serves to drain excess water to prevent flooding. Ditches are everywhere. In autumn they are dug out extra because the rainy season is approaching. Children have swimming lessons at a young age, which is necessary in a country with a lot of water. Fred and I had quite a discussion at the ditch if Loulou fell in. (we always do that about everything, the most nonsensical topics of conversation) Should something happen, we will be the first in the ditch together haha. Fortunately, Loulou is a good swimmer. Have a great Sunday. xxx Eveline
What a pity to have lots of rain and water flow! This video is refreshing☺️! Here in Spain we are still waiting for some autumn rain and having only some drops yesterday was so sad. I enjoy seeing the doggies at the green landscape a lot, thank you!🤗😘
Eveline**Just Curious**Have you ever lost any of your koi fish to eagles hawks or terns? Thank You for Uploading these videos**They are so comforting and educational!
@kingleo9 We only have small birds of prey, kestrels, buzzards, but they don't catch any fish. We do have herons but they don't get a chance because we have very watchful ducks.
@Loulou&Friends, twice I have had to climb into things I never thought I would have the nerve to climb into (one of them a half-frozen pond) to rescue an errant dachshund. It’s amazing how resourceful and brave you can get when it comes to the babies!
your place is really clean & neat. i think it is not over populated. that's why it is very clean & clear. instead of blocks of buildings you have very nice environment. when i step out of my house, i see a forest of buildings. but when you go outside of your house, you go to nature where there are more things like trees, meadows, hills to see. I really loved it .
The Netherlands is a very clean country. We also pay high taxes to have it that way. Roads, cycle paths, everything is taken care of and is very well maintained. It is also very small, but also densely populated. We live on the edge of a village with a lot of nature, but that is not the case everywhere. Romy & Claire's school is a 1-minute bike ride away, but they close everything up with new houses. We will show a little more of the Netherlands in the coming videos. Xx
One of your best videos! Thank you, Eveline, for sharing your day and your world. Loulou & Coco are the best but so is all the rest with glimpse of your beautiful village, the koi pond, Milky, little duck peeps and your family....all of it. Yours is a wonderful life. ❤
What a wonderful way to start my Sunday - Loulou, Coco & Milky. Love watching the girls explore the green open fields, running & frolicking! Your videos always make me smile. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for showing us and teaching us about your country. It is so beautiful there. My daughter was supposed to be in Amsterdam this year getting her master’s degree in Economics at Vrije Uni. Postponed due to the pandemic. Maybe next year!
Idk where you live but...its lovely and the children just pop off on bicycles! Oh! So! I see Netherlands in description! Ah ha! Beautiful Idyllic You so blessed Love for you and creatures💜
Loulou has a different diet than Coco. Coco is still a puppy, uses a lot of energy and has other needs. Loulou had stolen a sandwich from Claire for this. So she gets less food. Loulou is a landshark, we have to watch her very carefully with food, she will eat herself to death if we don't pay attention. This behavior cannot be unlearned but is her character. Coco doesn't have it.
Because it is not mandatory. They don't wear masks at school. When necessary we follow the rules but for now I'm glad we don't wear masks. We keep our distance and do not come in groups with people.
We are choosing to homeschool because Covid is so bad in parts of the United States. But the schools that are open, the children have to wear masks. Even so, it still spreads. I've lost two family members and one friend to the virus, so we are cautious. I'm glad it isn't as bad in The Netherlands.
Now, the earth prepares to rest & restore, until spring. The rain is nourishing for all that lives. Two adorable little Dachshunds, running like the wind, enjoying everything, & digging for treasures. I'm glad Loulou didn't fall in, but I know, both of you would have quickly gone in to help her. After a long day of walking, time for treats, a movie & rest. It was good to see Milky, who seems to glide on air, she covers her tiny feet well. A very satisfying day for all 🐾🐾❣️🐾🐾🍁🍁
Enjoyed your video. Of course I enjoy all of them. Those dogs are so cute especially LouLou licking the bowl so deliciously. Speaking of delicious, that soup looked wonderful.
Enjoyed seeing my sweet Loulou and her pup, Coco frolicking in the grass on their strolls. Loved seeing the ducks, koi fish and Milky, as well. Also, enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery on your strolls with Loulou and Coco. It's a nice way to start my week, makes my cloudy day a bit "sunnier" ☀️ Take care 🧸
Me..too..they are my therapy...My ex and I once had 6 black and tans. Now my ex has passed and my last doxie passed at 18yrs 4mos on St Patricks day. Miss them all.
Eveline your videos are so beautiful and have learnt so much. Thank u for regularly putting out special videos of your precious family and animals! Loulou and Coco your furry daughters in my mind not animals lol!
Our little Minnie, fell off our pier going after a fish my husband caught. Luckily it was high tide and she swam over and my husband could easily scoop her out. She was fine.
Your girls (dogs) have quite a spirit of adventure, especially around water. I guess the whole family does. Rainy season must keep the laundry room busy. You are all committed to keeping all the animals happy. Have a great evening. Blessings
Those eyes near the end in the sun on the rug. 😍 All that water is probably why there is so many beautiful flowers there. It seems in almost every video there is something in bloom. And always lush and green. Such a beautiful place. I had a swarm of bees come to my house. A man that volunteers at tje Abby in a nearby town came and put a bee box to capture the swarm. He was able to capture it and brought it to the Abby. They harvest the honey and sell it. I have cancer and was unable to keep the hive. I thought that it would have been interesting to keep it and have honey that you harvested yourself. There is a bunch of boxes nearby that no one tends to and the bees will split off to make another hive when it gets crowded and there is another queen. They are interesting little creatures.
We love beautiful Lou Lou & Coco they are so precious & a joy to watch 🥰🐾😘🐾 many thanks for always sharing your beautiful amazing family with us. Blessings to you all 🐾
Your family and pets are so fortunate. Look at all the land those lil pups have to explore. and I Loved the fish pond. I want one too if am fortunate. Stay happy healthy and together
It is said that people gravitate to places like the ones experienced in their youth. I have always lived in rolling hill areas,sk I feel most at home in places like that. My friend near the ocean and bay likes these flatlands but the weather rolling across the flat l and is harsher. And he has groen up all over the world. I have moved all over in this USA but the rolling hills. ... The features in your home are so beautiful. The rains are also good colors like in Oregon with its' watery seasons. Nothing is so varied in shades of the green. Thank you
I agree the koi are beautiful to watch just gliding around in the pond, so calm and oeaceful In contrast to LouLou and Coco who enjoy their walks in the field. Little noses sniffing and investigating everything, little legs running and ears flapping. It makes me so happy to see them. So much energy, but always come back to you to make sure you are there. That's so sweet. Then home for something to eat. And to say hello to Milky.Gosh LouLou's food barely touches the sides, gone in a flash and makes sure the plate is licked clean.Coco not so quick, but they both love their food. I love you videos so much Eveline. Many thanks to you and Fred. Are the girls enjoying being back at school.? Best wishes from me in Oz🇦🇺🤗🦘
Have Loulou and Coco ever tried to catch a badger? And are there badgers in Holland? Their burrows are usually near trees and require digging. Just wondering.
There are not many badgers in the Netherlands. Unfortunately not in the part where we live. Loulou & Coco actually never hunt for anything. Also not on rabbits or deer. Xx
I loved how the Koi fish came to touch your fingers😍.... Loulou definitely has a good balance to walk at the edge of the ditch, she is smart it didn't felt 😊... Milky is adorable 😍 After a nice meal nap time!!.... I love your spirit, not even the bad weather stops you to go for a walk with the girls.....💝 Have a good evening , thank you for the nice video!!❤️🐾💖
If you dug ditches here in Vegas all you'd end up with is mob victims. Haven't had rain here for well over 200 days. Can't wait for it, but until then it's Coco and The Lou!
Thank you so much for your so lovely vids. Watch them all time .... helps me a lot. Was last 4 weeks in clinic because cancer in bones. This films are so nice and serious. Really good family, and they like pets and animals. Such good people we need much more. Respect !!!!
It's actually very easy. When the water temperature gets colder, the fish stop eating and become slow. They move to the bottom of the pond and stay there until spring comes again. Kind of hibernation. The filter system provides oxygen in the water and keeps the water moving so it does not freeze over. The ducks are very resistant to cold, rain and wind. Actually, we don't have to do anything.
They had cleaned the ditches and there are small fish on the bank. Yes nutrea they are in the larger waters where ditches open. In the ditches you will mainly find small fish and water snails.
Hello. I really like your videos. You live in such a beautiful place surrounded by nature and animals. Is it a paradise garden? 🥰 Enjoy! I wish your family all the best! A kiss for Cocco and Loulou! 🥰❤
Such adorable Puppers❣️❣️ It’s SO fun to watch them in their environment- and see the similarities in my 6 lb. mini Piebald , here in America🐶. 🤍Milky also!
Thank you, Eveline. Good to see the koi and Milky. The pups sure get their smell entertainment in on a good ditch dig. Your family is well and that’s the best. Another good day for you. ❤️👋🏼🙏🏼😊🇺🇸
You are a true Snow White. 🙂 Such a great care giver to your animals. And they listen so well. It's so beautiful where you live. Just curious, why didn't Lou Lou earn a treat when she was running towards you?
Love your whole family and critters,/ Carps! Thanks for taking us along. Its warm where I am but feels chill watching the dogs near the canals. Have a good week.😸🌻
I'm so interested in the Bee houses! My husband and I want to do something like that, but it won't be till we get his son through high school, then we plan on focusing on more of our things. Is it difficult to do? I'm not feeling well this week so just binge watching. Out of all the nonsense in the world, watching your pets, and just calming normalcy is very peaceful 🤗❤️ It's absolutely beautiful in the Netherlands 🥰
The sweet ducks - do they stay all winter? Where do they stay? and the lovely fish, so big!...hmmm the ditch - no problem with the algae? some algae is a problem here in the northeast US...awww Milky! looking good - how old is he?...love to watch them vacuum up food haha...walk in the rain is nice if you have a good raincoat...bee house, do you harvest your own honey?...cute little snugglers Thanks for a delightful Diary Day Eveline, you make the day better every day :)
Maybe silly question, but do you have a mosquito problem with all the water in The Netherlands? I know here in states, and I'm in Okla. City mosquitoes are terrible in summer, and water just makes it worse. Thanks, and I just love your channel!
