It's refreshing to see a beautiful living room that transforms into a home cinema, instead of an ugly room with a large screen in it. Could you show us a video of the speakers and electronics?
@@westcoastmediarooms7862 Most of us can't afford to create or build a dedicated cinema and don't necessarily want one, its refreshing to see a multi-use 'normal' room transform into a really nice cinema room in the best possible, and most stylish way. Great job :) Cheers from Australia.
@@westcoastmediarooms7862 I wonder given this system is now getting reasonably old technology-wise, are much faster correction projector/screen/curtain units available?
While the prohector is adjusting to the screen size/ image ratio you are missing the movie and production company's logos which creates lots of atmosphere. That would really annoy me. why not using a scaler? the jvc projectors usually perform lens memory while showing an image.. Can you dim the lights without shutting them down completely during the DVD menu? A server would be a more sophisticated solution and more indirect ambiant light. Apart from that, pretty close to perfection although I do not lile perfection :D
I actually like this far more than most dedicated cinema rooms and its probably because it's very practical, but done really well and possibly for a more modest budget. I just don't like how slow the screen correction is.
This would be really great for a customer customer who had this budget and wanted to stay within this budget. Personally, found the foundation of my home theater room design the other day. However, will improve a a lot of things to my liking. What really impresses the most is the projector coming down out of the ceiling, and how the blinds on the screen knew the aspect ratio. If the motorized lift or mount fails for the projector, how do you service, or replace it? Just my thoughts… Outstanding job. And that specific power on, power off macros are sometimes a little difficult to fine. Power toggles suck.
This is the best setup I've seen. Love the fact that speakers and other equipment are hidden. I bet this gives you better experience than even an actual movie theatre.
Well at the very least any home setup allows you to have food and a cuppatea while watching the movie if you like and the room will be quiet without distracting other patrons that you would normally find in a commercial cinema. I much prefer home cinema.
Hi there, I am in Sydney Australia and I love your set up currently I am building a new house and I am looking for overhead projector and screen, can you please pass me full information about the screen and projector that you have used in your lounge, which brand it is? and which brand your screen is?, I would love to set this kind of screen and projector in my lounge, I hope you don't mind sharing your information to me. Many thanks in advance Manoj Badal
I'd never leave the house, but good luck getting rid of the neighbours when they realise you've got that system in place. In-laws, long lost uncles, work colleagues - you'd have to build a separate man cave just to get away from the horde ;)
I disagree, sure if you want a dedicated home cinema room but if you want a multi-use room such as this you don't really want to spoil the stylish look with having everything black for minimal gain.
You don't want it curved, it was a short-term trend in tv's, you will notice as far as I have seen, none of the tv manufacturers have brought out new curved displays. The 4K refers to the resolution of the image, it produces a very high-quality image, the projector itself produces it but the screen material does play a part in how well the image looks.
