Probably because that time period was one of the most peaceful and happy times Lestat had ever had with him in a really really long time and he was reveling in the moment. Louis did and said and responded and loved him in all the ways he ever wanted to be loved by someone. I'm certian he enjoyed it and however long that lasted was probably what informed his reaction to Louis' betrayal.
The way people have pointed out that the song in the background was the jazz version of Come To Me is now making this scene 10x more heartbreaking than it already was
They both do, but I have to agree Louis had me drooling. I always was a HUGE "fan girl" of "Grey Worm" while he was on Game of Thrones. It's so nice to see him get a role where he can REALLY show off his acting chops, and his incredibly good looks. ( Lestat is NOTHING to sneeze at either). They are both incredible looking people, and extremely talented Actors!
I’m just…in love with them. They’ve been my fave ship since I was kid and they’re being represented so well here. You can just feel their love through the screen.🥰
Honestly, I was just so amused that only one couple left when they kissed. Everyone else was just varying degrees of scandalized and titillated, especially the poor rosemary twins. Not like 99% of the people there didn't already know they were a couple. Also, when he says "I was his and he was mine" it reminds me of the Song of Solomon -"I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine:
Thank you for the quote for Song of Solomon, beautiful. I suspect at least 1 Rosemary twin wanted to cut in on the dance ,he seemed so happy to see it 🤗
In that time period everything was hused up being Gay back then meant you were judged harshly. Today its just a different kind of romance that most people still view as unnatural. I as a straight woman get its their even though i dont like it. but im not anti gay.
I just finally noticed that the song that's playing is literally "their" song, the Jazz version of Come to Me! I was so entranced by the pretty I neglected to listen to the episode!
yeah he knew the fun was about to be over. He thought he outsmarted them and was going to kill Claudia, but he knew Louis would never pretend to be okay after that.
@@lstarsabb Agreed that was the back up plan for Lestat, I thought the look was more, damn Louis, you won't end this? Because after he poured his heart ♥ out about missing New Orleans, it was really about his love for Louis, their lives together and not wanting that part to change. Louis could have said many things to stop the forthcoming event. Like I still love you, let's go away, make Claudia her own companion and set her free, I will be fine. Anything. Sorry 🙏, but in reality Louis should have left during the 6 years Lestat was gone and before he ever thought of turning Antoinette. He and Claudia could have been anywhere in the world. But that would have prevented the Last 💃 Dance.
This is what I want for their wedding. Please give me a Loustat wedding some day . The love is so evident and shinning bright. They look gorgeous together. 😍
I thought they married each other in episode 1, I mean they made vows and then committed at the alter in a church..... I may have read too much into the scene. 👐🌹💐🌷
@@jordanparker657 I feel the same as you. They are 'married' as far as I'm concerned and it happened in Ep1 like you said. So many references to housewife and all, plus Louis was reading a book on Marriage after The Fight.
@@yvonnemcgruder3296 We interpreted it correctly. 🌷🌹 I was reading last night parts of an interview Sam Reid did with Collider, he says " Lestat's in the naughty corner. As he should be, because you have to be pretty awful when your husband kills you" 😋🙂 I love he and Jacob so much as Lestat and Louis 💞💓💕💞💓💞
the reason im team lestat is the way he always professed his love to louis openly and louis NEVER returned it 😭 idc what anyone says thats a mindfuck. especially louis was fully sleeping w him and loving on him this freely because he was planning to kill him. its just sad
1. Louis was the bait. 2. Lestat was the prey. 3. Claudia was the hunter. So of course Louis had to do anything to keep him busy, including bedding down with him, but one thing Claudia doesn't understand is how much Louis loves Lestat, even though he never said it, but he has shown him in many different ways that he does love him, and to kill him would solve their problems. Clearly, she wasn't thinking on that part. No way in hell was Louis going to kill his lover in order for her to have her freedom.
I never liked Claudia. She was entirely selfish. In this it wasn’t lestat that wanted to change her it was Louis and yet she blames lestat for her plight. She wanted Louis all to herself and didn’t want lestat but then she chooses someone over him selfish from start to finish.
The way they’re looking at each other…Come to Me playing in the background…the way they both soften…lestat twirling louis…the KISS… this scene is undefeated. even when they’re conspiring against each other they still fall so hard in love. loustat ftw!
