Our story begins where this family is financially and emotionally supported by a benevolent and kind engineer. The benevolent engineer, who has a big heart, tries to make a better life for this family with his help. But the engineer's trip to Iraq and Karbala is the beginning of many challenges for this family.
In the absence of the benevolent engineer, the eldest son of this family, Nemat, who is also the son-in-law of the engineer, goes to the river with his wife Umm al-Binin to wash the carpets. During this trip, they meet a young woman named Zainab and her little boy. Zainab, who is alone and in need of help, asks for shelter from Nemat and Umm al-Banin. Nemat shelters them with a kind heart, but his work leads to tensions in the family.
When the engineer returns from the trip, the cameraman shows him that Nemat mistreated Umm al-Binin. The engineer, who cannot tolerate this behavior, slaps Nemat's face hard and throws her and Zainab out of the house. Nemat and Zainab head to the mountains, but Nemat's return home and her request to evict the nomadic family lead to more conflicts.
In the meantime, Ali, the cameraman of the story, regrets his actions and plans to reconcile Nemat and the nomadic family. He takes Nemat back home, but Nemat makes a bet that he will return home only if he marries Zainab. This condition increases the tensions again and the benevolent engineer is forced to throw Nemat out of the house again.
Now, to make up for the past and help the engineer, Ali fell in love with Umm al-Binin and plans to marry her. Ali captures Umm al-Binin's heart with beautiful gifts and love, and they decide to get married. But this new love makes Nemat angry and jealous, and new conflicts arise between Ali and Nemat.
In this part of the story, Raham, who is Umm al-Binin's past suitor, finds out about Nemat's abandonment and plans to marry Umm al-Binin. Raham, who is an evil and dangerous person, creates new problems with his arrival in the area. He gets into a fight with Ali, but the nomadic family manages to drive Raham away from the area with the help of the master builder who is building their house. The justice-seeking police are also looking for Raham to arrest him and send him to prison.
