This is a great movie. I went thru Chemo and lost all my hair. The picture you see as my profile pic was the first time I was able to get hair braided after and then to find out that I also have alopecia as well. It took all of my strength, however I had to realize that I am not my hair, and accept all things thru Christ that I am alive and here today. Thank you for this movie. It was much needed. 😊

I didn't have alopecia, but as a woman going through chemo and one day all your hair is gone is heart breaking. Any woman who experience hair loss feels insecure because ppl stare ask questions. But because God made us in His image I embraced me and that's when I truly fell in love with me. To every woman you really are Beautiful in your own way. The movie shows how to just embrace love. I loved this movie. One thing I learned and that I have known is that god don't give us more that we can bear and that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. We are all special in our own way and sometimes we underestimate the strength we have and we overthink situations too much. I don't have alopecia but I can very much relate to this movie. I got tired of the curling irons and weaves so I decided to cut my hair off. I have it cut like a fade and I love it but a lot of black women especially in my family ask why did I do it? I said i am not my hair! And guess what? My man is my barber now. You can be loved and you don't need a wig or weave to feel good about yourself. I love the message in this film and I've been living the message for the past 4 years now. Guess I should change my picture huh?😉

This was real life for me in high school my best friend had this bad and she would get so bullied people would walk by and try to pull her wigs off she didn't have any friends because they didn't want to be around her so how we started being friends was I was a big girl so I started to try to fight the whole football team and any one else who tried her. Now we're no longer best friends age and time changes but we still say hi and now she's happy and married this movie puts a smile on my face to have a funny memory 30 years ago...

She was too humble and I'm glad they show prayers are answered especially after disasters or when you're about to give up. He knew that was so grand. ***

My best friend has alopecia and I love and respect her for the confidence that she has. I know it's not easy for her at times but she doesnt allow it or the negative comments from others to stop her. When she shaved her head bald she really looked amazing. I enjoyed the movie i hope that others with alopecia and any other type of imperfection to stop them from being the beautiful person that they are.

This hits home for me. My niece has alopecia. She a beautiful blk young lady,but I think she doesn't see it or realize it. It doesn't help kid's at her school and in her neighborhood pick at her for not having hair. As a auntie I hate when strangers bully her. She is such a amazing person that she doesn't hate the ppl that hate/bully her for No reason. Anyway yesterday she got her self a custom made wig. U can tell it gave her some confidence, and some happiness back. I kinda feel some way that she feels a wig makes her beautiful. She is and will always be beautiful regardless if she didn't have a wig. I told her this morning she beautiful without that wig she remember that. She said I know aunty. I just smiled. I always tell my beautiful nieces how beautiful they are. Yeah I have. 5 niece's but only three are able to understand what I mean when I say your a beautiful. Had tear in my eyes at that ending! Wow! "I'll be a fool" a great ending and what I've learned from this is we have to learn to love ourselves no matter what others think of us. And just because we are dealing with insecurities someone else can help us to love ourselves. It may not always be the case with each individual person, but we must see past our own perception of ourselves.

I have had Alopecia since I was 9 years old, I am 48 and it has been the most difficult thing for me to deal with. I have experienced so much pain in life.

A shaved head on a women is beautiful. I shaved my head one yr for a fashion show. I loved it so much, I wore it like that for approximately 10 yrs. I would wear a wig for gigs and I got tired of it bc it was nothing to be a shame of. My last corporate gig, I went to work on a Monday morning without the wig. I was fired within 15mins. Did I care? No. Sued? could've but.... No. I was FREE to be me and was only unemployed when I wanted to be. I now have alopecia areata and there's no cure. If it ever effects the hair on my head, I will once again shave my head. No hiding under wigs. Embrace it and hold you head up ladies. 👍 .

Mother's Day 2020...I really enjoyed this movie, as it spoke to my spirit as one who lost my hair from alopecia, I've been wearing wigs since 1992. I've always felt like no man except me for not having my hair. As time has gone by I have excepted this condition, and am so much better now.

What a bad man at the beginning of the film. You are beautiful also with this issue. You don't need such bad people in your life. You know what, it's worse when you're very sick and the man leaves you after previously being very happy together. It's better to be yourself happy on your own without being emotionally dependent on anybody.

I thought this was a BEAUTIFUL movie. I love the dedication these performers put into their roles. Such conviction! What I loved the most is the message of Acknowledging ones insecurities and putting it out on the table that you're still working on them. Moving forward, together, from that point on is a beautiful adventure with ups and downs that in the end makes you stronger. Well done guys!! I loved all the diversity as well. I wish people would look at others as human beings and not race. I can relate to her hair lost, I have locs however after having 8 major surgery. I started to loose my hair in different part of my hair and grew back this time it's happening in the front of my hair. I dated a man at the beginning of our relationship he had long dreads, mouths later he end up cutting his hair off due to some form of alopecia. He even lost his eye lashes. I made dermatologist appointments and accepted him but he was mentally abusive towards me and I loved him unconditionally. After 10 years I left.
