oh hey it didn't get buried yet good. hi, blob with depression for +10 years and gone through six family deaths and a parental divorce so far, so here's some advice for getting through the rough patches --shower every day. IT'S CRAZY BUT IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER --remember to eat, and eat substantially. even if it's a sandwich. trust me, food is a big factor --try to keep your sleep schedule consistent. zzzquil is a good start, but you'll develop an immunity, so use it sparingly and only to begin, and only if your schedule is already fucked --don't feel bad for feeling bad, but don't be scared of feeling good. cherophobia is a bitch when you've been in the shit awhile, so knock that fucker to the ground. things get better. deal with it, brain. --talk to friends --this might not be universal, but the song Hated By Life Itself feels like an anthem for when you're going through it and feels so validating --DnD. no, seriously. dnd helped me to get a will to live back in '16. the right group can spark joy and be therapeutic anyway, you'll make it. I know you will. the universe is a cold hard dickwad and I wish I could punch it for whatever it plopped into your lap. I know the trope of saying, "this will probably be buried in the comments." But I nonetheless honestly think that you deserve to hear that your covers are legitimate inspirations for people. You expose some absolutely amazing tracks that I, and who knows how many people would never get to hear without your existence. Not to mention having the privilege of hearing it in our native tongue. You serve as an amazing inspiration for me to pursue my own art form, which is, as pretentious as it sounds, poetry. Please, with the pleading of a broken person desperately trying to fix themselves. Juby, I don't know what caused you to lose your confidence, but I can assure you, you deserve to be proud of the work you do. You deserve to be proud of your singing, your ability to do these covers. You're great. You were one of the first cover artists I listened to and I get excited every time I see a new song come out. It doesn't matter if I'm familiar with it or not because I know you reliably deliver songs I enjoy. Heck, I've spent entire shifts just listening to songs you've covered while I work. I listen to your versions because I enjoy your spin, your take on them. There were some rough days where I was super frustrated, super annoyed, or super drained and your songs helped me get through them. Many people on this site are in the same boat. Just look at the comments below and above. I may just be one commenter in the sea of voices that is the internet, but I hope I'm able to help dispel some of that doubt.

vent (some language, idk): this is one of my anger songs because the first time i heard this song, i was head over heels over this boy. about a month later, he confessed to me and we became a couple. it was literally a dream come true, but he became a completely different person the instant we became a thing. he began to disrespect my boundaries. of course he never forced himself onto me that’s not the kind of person he is, but he continuously tried to convince me to do things like kissing even though i already told him i wanted to wait a little. but my dumbass let him, although i knew he would stop if i could get the courage tell him. but i let him because i was curious, and this is what love is, right? two slow months later, we break up. i don’t want to get into detail about it, but it, like most people know, hurt like hell, and i’m still getting over it (this was in nov 2019) the worst part is that i still like him and i really miss him and i see him everyday, but i can’t talk to him ever again because i’m afraid i’ll mess it up or he won’t want to talk to me anymore, and i really don’t want to have the pressure of desperately wanting to please someone again. fast forward to today, when i see this song again, listening to it while remembering the days i had a chance with him, and unlike other times i’ve heard it and felt angry about the whole situation, i felt more at peace. so, thank you juby, for helping me let go of that douche. it really feels good to cross a really good song off of the list of songs he’s ruined because of memories :)

The summery of this song is like a story: Our MC has been most likely suffering from depression (going far enough to self-harm and attempt suicide), but an individual that they've either known for a long time or are really close with has sparked that lovely(-annoying-) thing called 'love'. The main problem we have here is that: the MC doesn't know how to express their newly found feelings, and their most likely scared about making their relationship awkward or ruining it, and driving them mad. So our MC hides their feelings, and terribly at that, because they enjoy everything they do with this person. So, our MC begins trying to crush and force themselves to stop loving this person, however, it doesn't work and most likely causes them to drift away from each other. But, our MC, no matter how hard they try, they can't stop this feeling, so they keep it hidden. And an endless cycle begins, a cycle of love and fear. If you've got anything to add, go for it.

Hi Juby! You might never even see this but I just want to thank you for playing such a big role in my childhood. You were my inspiration to continue my dream as a singer. I remember in elementary school I would be so excited for your new cover. I would always remember the lyrics and sing along over and over. I just went back to visit some of those songs and I still remembered all of the lyrics! I even cried from some of the older ones from 2016. I started high school this year and was clearing out my old folders when i found my binder where i kept all your lyrics to your covers! That was what drove me to come back to this channel. Your voice was always so distinct to me, I can also proudly say I sang one of your covers in elementary for the talent show! I was really nervous but I performed in front of about 600 people :) So once again, thank you Juby. I'm once again back to follow your path!

Sometimes it's better to take a break and try something new. Possibly drawing or just programming. Or just going for a walk, reading, etc. As a developer said: it's better to not burn ourselves out.
