It's fiction. LOLOLOLOL!!!!! Of course we romanticize this because it isn't real! If it depicted real life we wouldn't watch it. However, it's not like Omer is the devil. His love for Defne made him do stupid things (because the writers wrote it that way). You sound unhinged just because people like this show and love the character of Omer. Are YOU kidding? That is right! Omer will fight for Defne. Defne and Omer were both hurt . But this is a new beginning. No More lies secrets and pride Omer is finally putting love before his dame pride .

And now it's Omer's turn to hide something from Defne. Omer only really changes after Defne leaves her home and family and goes to live with him. Only then does he fully experience Defne's sacrifice and also notice that this act does not make Defne happy. And he acknowledges this during their fishing session. Sukru will also notice that she often looks thoughtful and sad.

@@ilsea31 Defne is not sad to leave her home and go to live with Omer. As a matter of fact it was who she volunteered to do that in season 1. She put the idea in his head by suggesting that they had plans of getting married soon. The first time, they both really enjoyed living together. Although they did not sleep together. Defne is sad because her family does not support her being with Omer and in so doing they were also being very unkind to her.

Ömer said it while fishing and Sükrü said it when he met Defne for coffee. In season 1 she did that to debunk the words of Fikret Gallo. And that was different because they would do that as friends. And at home she had told her grandmother that she was going to stay with a colleague. What I answer here could also be found in the series.

That's why he would never have fit in with the ambitious Yasemin. For a whole year he didn't care if Defne was dead or alive. He claims he was always thinking of her but that's hard to believe. He needed to get away - I get it; the entire lot of them family and friends keeping the secret. How he handled the separation was selfish- he was sleeping around and partying whereas Defne had to rebuild her life after a near death experience….he could have at least asked how she was doing.. pride kept him from showing any type of emotion. I just wish Defne would have made him suffer a little longer.

Omer told Sinan that me made a mistake and chose pride over love. He also told Iso that he can’t live without Defne. Selim would have been an ok fit for Defne, he was still carrying a torch for her. Maybe she could have learnt to love him. Iso is her best friend, so Defne couldn’t be with him in a romantic way. Defne wouldn’t pick Sinan either because he’s Omer’s best friend.

You don't just go for a guy like if it is something you are buying. Where is the heart in all this ..... shouldn't you fall in love with the person....and that is exactly what happened......as mismatched as Defne and Omer were they fell in love with each other.
