So clear again dear Rupert, Thank you. When one discovers with complete stability the nature of mind (no more hope or fear) there is no doubt or uncertainty, the problem is we think that if we understand conceptually the non-dual view or had a glimpse of it, we believe we got it... This is the trap of the modern advaita approach. There is very few who fully realise the nature of their mind, but it is essential that we stay on the path of no path with full honesty.

I just came across Mr Spira"s work, here on RU-vid. I am delighted at his laser-sharp, cutting handling of the questions, his rare wisdom, his clear vocabulary, and at how his intelligent, knowledgeable, loving guidance; this is (I don't have a word to describe the loving, wise experience. I want to call it being it love, being in joy, but it would be misleading). The Yoga Meditations are jewels: the recognition of awareness. The body as a vibration, in the light of awareness. So many teachings and teachers brought me here; I feel at home. Gratitude, Mr Spira, for making this available. Thank you.

When you see no separation or distinction between the appearance of a you and and any other appearance (i.e. another "you"), there is no need or interest in applying a particular manner of conduct towards another "you" because subject-object is absent. "I am you" is the language of awareness, wheres "I love you" is the language of the drama afoot.

The problem is people will confuse this with puppy-love - the feeling one gets when hormones are released into their system, triggered by the ramblings of the egoic mind. It is a love that can only be felt when the judgmentalness of the mind is out of the way.

From a Christian perspective I appreciate very much the difference raised between Rupert and someone in the audience on what is consciousness-state of awareness especially in relation to the mind or clutter of various thoughts in our natural state of being and the important question of ethics or conscience-the inner feelings of what is right or wrong behavior. The fallen condition has brought about a blurring of the two and perhaps the "Awareness" Rupert speaks about is the condition in the Garden before the fall of humanity. The introduction of sin or the "Mind" Rupert speaks about may have come from the actions in Genesis 2:17-eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or the reality of a duality condition found in the 'Mind" that is inherent with a judgmental aspect our present state of existence has. So then, the hope of redemption or coming back fully into the 'State of Awareness" and out of the "Mind" or duality condition is made possible through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ-the Son of God who was sinless and outside of us, bridging the gap, and bringing about a new spiritual nature within us, dormant until activated!

As someone who grew up in a Catholic School, only to become a somewhat Buddhist who follows Jesus's teachings, bear with me. Story; two prostitutes from World War II died and went to heaven. God said one has sinned and one has not. All the Angels gasped and said, but they are both prostitutes. God said, one did it to help others in their time of need, the other did it to get her jollies off. (selflessness versus selfishness) Like the angels, the egoic mind, which is easily fooled by simple illusions, categorizes things based on preconceived notions it has learned over its lifetime - it is the egoic mind that is selfish and judges, hence the phrase; judge not lest ye be judged. Only once the "I and Mine" are out of the way, one can experience what Christians call Christ consciousness, which at its essence, is selflessness. Oh well, just the ramblings of a passerby, wish you the best in your travels. Namaste 🙏

J Norfleet I am no scholar, but my friend I am pretty good at the logic game. Can you explain this to me, why was this 'miracle worker' not wrote about in their own lifetime. We know Socrates existed, Heraclitus etc, there was great documentation. Yet you have to wait over 60yrs, 2 full lifetimes in ancient times before this individuals story began , absolute nonsense that does not happen!!!!! The Bible is subjectively metaphorical, not objectively literal , have a great day!!!!!!

Loving impartiality 😂😂😂 you cant split hair on this Rupert. I dont mind is a blunt way of acceptence. I dont care at least is more sincere, because it comes from an inability to face pain. No healthy human being can say i dont mind confronted with unethical or imoral behaviour. Same goes to 'i dont care'. Two completely unrelated terms- awareness and morals/ethics. When one thinks they are awaress alone, they should not be bothered with morals. They cut themselves short of their humanity. This is when spiritual teachings go too far
