JK ji has answered this in a very profound manner. I understood that with self you cannot have 'full' attention. The ability to understand and perceive what others say requires 'attention' with self you cannot fully understand others because there is an interference of thought which is self, so to give 'full attention' you have to slient the brain aka self. Beautiful.

No, the images we create about one another only strengthen separation. Images are knowledge and always limited. So conflict must arise. Love is perception without reference. An intelligence not based on knowledge. Unconditional, so to speak.
